Stevie Clark greaduating early?

I'm not sure who to believe about Stevie Clark's interest in OU: Stevie, or OSUFan and OSUcpa?

Stevie was going to graduate early and go in the 2012 class. If that were the case...he eliminated OU from his options in the 2012 class.

In recent news, Stevie is supposed to be now leaning toward staying (at least that is what one reporter is reporting) in HS ...if that is the case then OU very much has a shot at him.

Way to be an idiot tho and try to talk smack when you don't even know what you are talking about

I'm the idiot talking smack? You were the one acting as though he already made the decision to leave HS early and cited that as evidence that he was never interested in OU, then posted a sarcastic response when I cited the fact that his mom recently visited Kruger on campus.

When did I said he had no interest in OU at all..ever? I said he wasn't interested to walk-on at OU for the 2012 class...
2012.
If OU had a scholly available he would have considered them as well as the others.

I said explicitly on here that I thought OSU was a long shot even for the 2012 class and that reclassifying to 2012 would give OSU a better shot than what they had in 2013 with him but if he decided to stay until 2013 to expect UCONN, OU, mizzou, and UCLA.

Now that it appears he will be staying in HS...OU has a really good shot with him expect considering his situation (proximity, Krugers full-court press on him, Deondre football draw to OU). Exactly like my previous post until you came on here trying to talk smack over it...

Or maybe he was never solidly in the "leaning towards 2012" camp, but you ran with it anyways, and now look foolish?

2012.

Really?

You said this:

I'll be very, very surprised if he goes to OU this year or next. He has UCONN, Mizzou, UCLA, Florida State, and OSU going after him...

And this.....

OU may have a shot next year but he obviously doesn't like them THAT much if he is willing to enroll an entire year early. It's not like Lon Kruger hasn't put the full-court press on him already...

You mocked everyone who suggested that there was a possibility he wouldn't reclassify.

No one argued that OU was a possibility IF he classified to 2012; that was never up for debate. Instead, you repeatedly scoffed at the idea that he may not graduate early and posted this in response to the argument that he would consider OU if he stayed in the 2013 class:

I guess you can still dream about getting him in 2013 since he didn't explicitly eliminate them.

Of course, he never explicitly eliminated Missouri State (whom he has an offer from)...so they probably can get him in 2013 as well.
By comparing OU to Missouri State, you weren't suggesting that OU was eliminated even for 2013?

And despite none of those factors about his situation changing since you trolled our board last week, you now say OU has "a really good shot" just days after comparing OU's chances of landing him in 2013 to Missouri State's.

And it's been explained numerous times that, with his academic standing, he'd be on scholarship most anywhere he wants to go. It can easily be accomplished with a kid like him, but you still ran with the "there's no way he's going to OU...EVER..." thought.

What's the old saying about being better to keep your mouth shut????

Guerrero/Smart playing PG for OSU in the future....two highly rated guys who will take the majority of the playing time. While OU only has Grooms who couldn't shoot a basketball into a laundry basket.

Yeah, Guerrero is heads and shoulders better than Grooms. Why, he shot an impressive .003 better from the field than Grooms did, while averaging just under half as many assists per minute!

What's your analysis of Smart?

Though he tallied zero points and zero assists for the aggies last season, I think he has a reasonable shot at improving on those numbers in 2012-13.

I think we should appoint skyvue to be our dedicated opposing-team-fan-mocker.

I'm flattered, but sheesh, responding to this latest crop of orange-clad wanna-bes is like shooting rubber fish in a barrel.

And it's funny how osucpa neglected to mention Isiah Cousins. I trust (hope) he's more detail-oriented in his CPA work than in his basketball "analysis."

The 2013 in the Mizzou St. quote was meant to be 2012. That is the confusion I created.

I never thought OSU even had a chance at him until he thought about graduating early. I thought that would play in OSU's favor.

I didn't change my attitude though...the situation has just changed by his decision to stay (which still hasn't gone public with that info...1 OU reporter is saying it).

OSU just signed offered and signed a JUCO PG this past Monday. Stevie Clark visited OSU on Saturday. I'm guessing Ford offered and wanted a decision then and there from Stevie. Stevie wanted to wait before making a decision or decided against it...so then Ford went to his JUCO PG. The JUCO PG had been waiting to hear from Ford for awhile now I know.

As far as 2013 goes... OU does have a good shot but I'll still be surprised if he heads there even if his brother does decide to go there. Stevie could potentially get a lot more interest in the 2013 season then he already has. Schools like KU, Texas, and Baylor will give him a look.

Same could be said for whoever this Cousins is...

I'm sorry is that the guy with offers from Hofstra and South Carolina?

Sounds like a real baller

Three things:

1. If Ford offered just recently and was trying to pressure Clark into making a decision, he's dumber than I thought.

2. OSU signing a juco point guard in 2012 should have no effect on Clark. He'll be gone by the time Clark plays a single college game.

3. There is no such place as Mizzou State.

Exactly, but then I didn't ask you to "assess" him after you'd posted about currently active players, did I, as your fellow aggie did above. So I responded to a dopey question with an (admittedly mildly) clever answer.

You seem intent upon repeatedly exposing your cluelessness.

From the Tulsa World:
NORMAN - The Tulsa World confirmed Wednesday Internet reports of Oklahoma's newest basketball addition - Mount Vernon (N.Y.) guard Isaiah Cousins.

Cousins verbally committed to the Sooners after visiting Norman earlier this week. It was thought the 6-foot-4, 180-pounder might visit his other four final schools - Connecticut, Virginia Tech, Dayton and Xavier - and commit in April or May.

I don't know how good Cousins is going to be, but he's a late bloomer who flew under the radar until late in the game, so the fact that you haven't heard much about him means exactly squat -- you don't seem to be all that well-informed, frankly.

The national press was high on him when OU signed him -- that much I know. And Lon Kruger's a damned good coach with point guards.

But I wasn't touting Cousins' skills, anyway. I have high hopes for him, yes, but that wasn't my point. In discussing OU's chances of signing Clark, you cited the guys oswho has at the point for the next couple of seasons and who OU has at that position, but you left out entirely a PG who was a recent high-profile signing for OU.

Like I said -- clueless.

I stand by those comments. OU is still a long shot. If it weren't for Deondre possibly going there... I don't see him choosing OU at all.

What you need to understand is that no on this board cares what you think.
