Having said that, though, Fitz would get a lot more rebounds if he had better hands. Count the number of rebounds and loose balls he fails to control in every game and you'll see what I mean. He plays like he's got mittens on both hands. I didn't think I would ever see anyone worse than LL. I was wrong.

I have a few quotes in the game thread from the radio interview. He really liked how hard he played. But then said how it was sad that he and Cam Clark were really the only ones that showed up in the second half. I think Cade also played okay in the second half as well. Nobody else really did.

Tyler has a huge upside. He just needs to put on 20 pounds of muscle in the off season and work on his footspeed. Coming in next year with a mean streak would help, too. Maybe he can attend that boot camp in California, Blake and Taylor spent the summer at two years ago?

Ryan Wright played like he had mittens wrapped with concrete and then barbwire. He might have the worst hands I have ever seen. I think Fitz's problem is just that he is not athletic at all. Effort might be a problem as well. I dont remember Abercrombie being the greatest athlete but the man could clean the glass.

I think one thing working against Fitz as far as rebounding goes is he is learning to play at a smaller size. He can't rely on his weight now to hold people off, he will need to hit the weights hard and get his strength up!

True to form Capel starts hammering his players in the press again. Lets not talk about how this coach has put a undersized less athletic team on the court. This is one of many reasons I want OU to let Capel go. I can't stand a coach that blames players for his failure.

True to form Capel starts hammering his players in the press again. Lets not talk about how this coach has put a undersized less athletic team on the court. This is one of many reasons I want OU to let Capel go. I can't stand a coach that blames players for his failure.

So since everyone tells Fitz he is undersized then he should get a pass for only hauling in 2 rebounds??? Buttermaker it is no secret of your disdain for Capel, but I am pretty sure it isnt his fault for Fitz not rebounding.

It would help if his vertical jump was more than 2 inches. I am 6 ft tall and I guarantee I can touch higher on the backboard than fitz can. Just sayin.

You may question his intentions, but Buttermaker is right.

As bad as Pledger and Fitz were in this game, Capel should never throw the players under the bus to the press. I don't care if it was the worst game of his life, the coach should not make fun of the player to the press and behind his back.

However, I'm all for ripping a player a new one right to his face. Be as ugly as you need to be, but it's really disrespectful to talk about a player that way behind his back.

Kelvin would rip players if they played terrible. I don't know if Billy would. If Capel says this stuff to the media and doesn't say these type of things in practice or in meetings I can see a point. But I see no evidence of this.
