Note: these have been complied by several people who have watched the team play. I just thought you guys would like to hear something about next year's team.

Willie Warren: The best news that I have heard about Willie is that he has been the leader of this team this summer. From organizing the pick-up games and selecting the teams to getting after guys to play harder this is becoming Willie's team.

Ray Willis: Lots of good things about Ray including: He is more committed to the process this year and it has showed in the weight room and on the practice court during pick-up games. He is really scoring the ball and has had some good battles going toe to toe with Warren offensively. He has also shown some good ability on defense going against Warren

Orlando Allen: Has lost even more weight since May and might be the hardest worker on the team. He has really improved his jumper out to 8-10 feet. He has a chance to be a real factor this year.

Tiny Gallon: "unreal". "ridiculous". "real impressive". Words used to descibe him thus far in pick-up. He had one game last week where he buried 7 threes. He has had no problems getting up and down the floor and looks to have not strayed from his diet and conditioning after the season ended. He is still working to lose more weight in time for fall practice. His handles have really impressed, and his ablility to move for a man his size has also really impressed. He is really pushing the other big men to get better.

TMG: has not practiced yet due to that bad back that kept him out of the Faith 7 game. No one was real sure how serious it is....but he is being held out. Still yet, he is working on slimming down and is already taking classes.

Cade: Reports are that Cade is on a hot shooting streak right now, and is putting a lot more effort into driving the ball and expanding his game. He is such a hard worker.

Fitzgerald: Doesn't appear to be any bigger than 6'6. Needs to bulk up as well. Didn't hear much about his game.

Hardrick: Has NOT been practicing in the pick up games or morning workouts.

Thats all for now....:)

Best news out of everything.... Keep it up Ray, you can be a big time player.

I was worried about him being real small, because he isnt all that athletic either.

Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Any word on if wright has been improving? He's a really nice guy, I'm hoping he can contribute more next year.

I think the point of improvement (other than becoming more consistent) is gone for Ryan Wright. He is a 5th year senior and is what he is. He can rebound and play some tough defense, and be a 6'9'' bruiser type.

Orlando is the guy that will make improvement, if anyone.

What are the reports of me on the court?

Word is you look good watching from the bleachers. :)

Thanks for the report, BT! I'm especially pleased with what you had to say bout WW, Tiny, Orlando and Ray. It's good to know Willie has accepted the responsibility of leadership with this team and is pushing everyone to get better. The report on Tiny is about what I expected. I think he is going to surprise a few people with how good he really is.

If the Big O and Ray take a huge step forward in their second season at OU, this team could be pretty darned good. I love Orlando's attitude. He seems like such a nice young man I'm pulling for him to do well. Ray just needed to grow up a little, and judging by what you've heard he appears to be well on his way.

Great job!!!

Thanks for posting this. Big O could really help Tiny this season if he can play quality minutes down low and give Tiny the ability to use his range.

The TMG thing is a bit troubling considering all the troubles AJ had with a bad back over the years.

Does anyone have any info on the severity or length of recovery for his injury? I just know that guys with back problems seem to ALWAYS have back problems.

That's all well and good about Orlando's "jumper", but can he catch an entry pass?

I kinda figured that. That's OK, if he adapts a football mentality in the post to go along with the skill he has. If he doesn't, he'll be outmatched.

Yeah I am not too worried about the 6'6 part. Just hope that he bulks up over the summer and is able to give us some minutes next year.
