OU has made the final 3 with 2014 PF Marvin Clark

This connection to Sunrise and Bahamas would be really nice. We need to reel in TUM and Clark both.

Oregon and Iowa.

I dont know much about him, really seems to be a late bloomer, good looking strong lefty, decent shooter and slasher. Doesnt look super quick but athletic for sure.

So, OU has 4 to give in '14? How tall is Clark, and is he a 3?

6'7

Looks like Oregon is the leader, but I don't know how recent that was, or how long OU's been after this kid.

I just wish we could get Tum Tum, another 6-4 HS shooting guard, a high school big and a JC big. Or would it be better to get 2 HS bigs?

My vote would go for two HS bigs. I'm not opposed, nor have I ever been, to signing juco players. But our recent run of bad luck, and perhaps a little poor judgment of talent as well as too many recruits' ability to qualify academically, has soured me some on spending too much time in recruiting juco players.

I would rather see our coaches focus their attention on high school recruits, and look to the jucos as nothing more than a stopgap to fill a specific need they're unable to fill with a high school player.

That's the way it should have been all along. But, IMO, our coaches have leaned too far in the other direction. Nothing out of control or seriously flawed, just a little too far for what I would call a healthy balance.

The problem with laying off the JUCO's is that we aren't hitting on any of the HS bigs that can help right away. The kids we are in on, for the most part, are guys that need a year or two to improve. Thus LK going after JUCO's to attempt to get kids in here that are ready to contribute. I think in time he'll have our roster at a point that we don't have to do that as much, but we aren't there yet. Also, losing M'Baye how we did, and by all accounts unexpectedly, that kind of forced LK's hand as well.

Stupid M'Baye. Ok Ok. I'm done. I just hate it that he left. He had the chance to have a really good year.
