Sweet 16 Game Thread

so you must feel even stronger about houston who plays in a much weaker league ..

and the WCC was a better league then the Pac 12 this season fyi

Sure. I do. But im also a huge kelvin than tho so I'm a little biased with him but I'm consistent at least

Miami is a really good offensive team but still shocking to see Houston get absolutely sliced and diced that badly. Can’t think of many times one of Kelvin’s teams has been picked apart that way.

only Ku would have more 1st round picks in the big 12 over the last 10 years compared to the zags

ku 9 gonzaga 8 ..

and only 3 of the zags were freshman 5 for KU

meaning the zags are also usually old ..

they would not be 5th or 6th at best most years ..

Yeah and the zags are just tearing up the nba too. Morrison was an absolute freak especially.. being drafted doesn't conclusively prove necessary that the player or zags team are actually good. Just people's perceptions. Mine is that i wouldnt touch them. I hated the thunder took Chet, but hes kind of a special case a little. I still think hell be a bust tho but i get the hype with him at least

3 dudes doing well? :ez-roll: i thought they were a basketball school. heck, we have 3 dudes, even 4. 2 of which are doing better than all of them but sabonis

Trey Alexander is playing well for creighton. Would have been nice if Lon got him to sign with Cortes. I’m pretty sure Alexander wanted money though.

In the past four tourneys, the Big 12 has now had five different programs make the Elite 8. And obviously there is a chance that by Sunday night, five will have made the Final Four. Half the league … incredible.

Nembhard is starting for the Pacers as a rookie, and Kispert has been starting for the Wizards since his rookie year as well. Along with Chet and Suggs, that's just the last two drafts. Go two more years and you have Rui and Clarke. A little further and you have Collins, Sabonis, and Olynyk.

We've had a few really good NBA players of late, but the depth isn't remotely close. They will have 6 guys since 2019 who spent more than one season in the NBA...you'd have to go back 30 years to say the same thing for OU. Brent Price in 1992 if you're wondering.

Welp, goodbye Big 12. Nostradamus couldn’t have predicted this Final Four

Just glad Texas is out at this point. 1 Mountain West team, 1 C-USA team, 1 ACC team(a conference everyone crapped on this year), and 1 Big East team. Yeah. Not many would've had that.

Also, first FF without a McDonalds All-American since 1979. WILD.

Satisfying Sunday Night Elite 8 game. Crack open a cold one boys.

Texas was up 12 with under 10 minutes to play and completely blew it. That is awesome. It was looking like a texas/UConn final, but thank goodness it didn’t happen.

It wasn’t that far fetched when you look at who was left. It was still looking good with under 8 to play. I’m glad they lost but your “gotcha” is pretty weak, like most of your input lately.

Tejas got screwed with that block out changed call. Completely changed the outcome. But I'm not complaining

I had to watch the last 10 minutes from a restaurant with no sound. How did Miami catch up? Did the player that appeared to roll his ankle come back in the game? I couldn't tell who it was.

Yeah, you got really close. Guaranteed they would win 4 games and they only came up 3 short.
