Sweet 16 Game Thread

Texas was up 12 with under 10 minutes to play and completely blew it. That is awesome. It was looking like a texas/UConn final, but thank goodness it didn’t happen.

they would have played in the semi's

FAU vs SDSU game was already set ..

Yeah, you got really close. Guaranteed they would win 4 games and they only came up 3 short.

I didn’t guarantee anything. I was lamenting the bracket opening up for texas and they were one of the best teams left. But, whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

No way. Cunningham had position. The miami dude knew he fouled out.. he had his head in his hands.. what does that tell you?

the miami guy jumped up .. cunningham cleared out and undercut him ..

i think it was a foul

That's what I saw, too.

That's absolutely what happened. Cunningham had inside position, but he didn't hold his position. He backed up several steps, undercutting the Miami guy while he was up in the air. That was clearly the correct call.

BC has position tho.. that has to mean something. Unless the rule changing morons want to do away with boxing out too these days

He has position and then he decided to be a pos and undercut someone. That’s a cardinal sin and 1 of the more dangerous plays on the basketball court.

If he had boxed out, kept his position and the other player had jumped and fallen on him, it would have been a foul n the other player. But that's not what he did.

it is a play that happens very very infrequently

the rebound came very long where the miami guy could jump and reasonably have a shot at it .. when he jumped you can't undercut him period ..

the box out is fine and will continue to be fine but you can't continue to back into / undercut guys that are airborne ..

Agreed, was a dirty play.

Yup… I was half watching but I thought it was on Miami first (which I thought was a horrible call)… guess that’s how they called it..

Glad to see it changed. Couldn’t care less who won but that was a bad call if was against Miami

So we all agreed on this but HoopsAustin? Go figure.
