As I see it we have 2 scholies available. What positions do we go after or do we just go after best available

We have needs everywhere. Lets get the most talented players we can.

PG first, then best available SG or Big. If the recruits live up to expectations then I would be happy with Guererro and Jurick. I don't think we need to sign kids to have bodies like we had to this season though. If they can only sign one quality player for 2011 I say save the other for 2012.

I would be very happy with Guerrero and Jurick....we would improve a TON if we had those two added to what we already have. Goff and Jurick added to this team right now would make us better....throw in Osby and we make great strides.

Does anyone know if we are really looking at Jurick?

A head coaching position.. Oh wait are we talking about players?

Sorry I was not very specific. I would say PG, Big, SG. I agree if they are not much better prospects that what we have on the team save the scholarship and for 12 and let the guys we have play and improve.

Point guard is the position OU needs help at.

I agree. TMG had issues but he would make this team so much better. If he and Tiny had good attitudes OU would probably be a good team this year. That is about 30 points a game and makes OUs two best players good role players like they should be.

His crap off the court heavily outweighed any positivity he brought on the court. Screw TMG.

-this. a rumor i read on another board was that tommy was starting crap with willie. it was kinda like they were battling for whos best ya know? to live off what if's sucks because we all know IF tiny & tmg played like they were on a basketball TEAM then who know where we could be right now. :( sad day

A really good point guard would help this team a lot.

Would you mind explaining to me exactly what you mean by a really good point guard? True pg? For some unexplainable reason, recruiting a really good TRUE pg to play at OU has been a rarity.

Guerrero isn't the answer at PG as a true frosh...just not going to happen. Best bet from a PG standpoint is try to get an experienced player (see JUCO) and sign a bigger recruit for 2012. Other schollie give to the best available player who will have an immediate impact, not a two year project.

Honestly I would just rather stand put with what we have than use a scholarship on a JUCO PG. Are we going to find a JUCO PG that is better than Blair/Newell will be next year?

Not this late in the game, all the true game changers have signed

Juco pgs have had a bad track record recently. Just look at our targets last year. You're right, Guerrero isn't the answer, but the answer isn't one player. Now Guerrero, Osby, Goff, and two more guys that can contribute may be the answer.

Robert Goff (PF)
Philip Jurick (C)
Dylan Talley (SG)
Guerrero (PG)

There ya go.
