Taylor Roberts

I watched this young lady play last night she was unbelievable! Taylor is averaging 33.2 from what the Daily Oklahoman had in the newspaper today. From what I've seen she is probably the best 2017 player in state. That's no disrespect to the other young ladies in the state. Is OU recruiting her???

The newspaper said a sophomore here is the article below.

ROBERTS’ 43 LEADS CLASSEN PAST MILLWOOD FOR 1ST TIME

After averaging 28.1 points per game last season, Classen SAS sophomore Taylor Roberts has stepped up her scoring through 13 games.

This time it led to school history.

Roberts scored 43 points as Class 4A No. 12 Classen knocked off Class 3A No. 2 Millwood 84-69 for the first time in school history.

“I told my girls we need to win this game not only to get the respect of Millwood, but to get the respect of Class 4A and prove that we’re one of the top eight teams in the state,” Classen coach Malcolm Roberts said.

Roberts is now averaging 33.2 points per game. She had 20 points at halftime for the Comets, who are now 11-2.

The Comets’ Victoria Vickers and Maya Thompson also scored 16 and 13, respectively.

Bria Dean scored 26 for the Falcons, while Raven Prince added 13.

Taylor is a Sophomore. She has played a lot of summer ball with Llanusa, Franks and Johnson. She is a great kid.

That explains a lot!!! So they are all friends! Wow!!! The name of their AAU team should be called the SUPERFRIENDS!!! Dang that's a lot of fire power!!!

Is this 2017 class A repeat of the 2008-2009 class in oklahoma?

I always wondered why any of them
Never chose OU. Anyone know the deal?

Sherri tends to recruit players from large metro areas where the competition gives a clearer view of exactly how good players are. Oklahoma doesn't have the competitive density of a Houston or Dallas, Los Angeles, even Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

She has 5 from the OKC area on the roster this year. That is not counting Ritchie. She has committs from Choctaw and Preston, or whereever Dungee is today. I thought they learned more by watching the AAU competition which is usually tougher.

Geno has the same issue recruiting in state talent, I've heard he doesn't look at many Connecticut kids because you can't tell if they have been tested. I'll say all the girls we've missed on other then Courtney Walker most haven't been very good including Richa Jackson who played and Duke, and Jessica Washington, who's currently at UNC.

Wasn't the guard who recently transferred from UConn a superstar instate recruit who was getting no playing time?

Meriden, Conn was her home town, but she finished high school career at Blair Academy in Blairstown Township, N.J.

YCN,
So are you saying the women she (Sherri) has on her roster are not good enough to play at OU that are from the Oklahoma City area??? Sometimes players struggle because of the system in which they play. Sometimes players choose schools because of the name not the system then they struggle. What do you think?

Could be a bit of both...

Can't we stop this nonsense. This is a declarative sentence, not an interrogative. It looks like Sherri has some pretty good classes coming in.

Sherri will always have issues with recruiting, because she's never out there herself...kids want to see head coaches watching them...Sherri will also have issues recruiting Top 10 players because she has this superior attitude that these kids should bow down to her if she just shows interest in them and then if they even try to look at another school she drops her recruiting...Ive always been an OU fan but recently finding these things out about her really makes me not want to continue being one....

That is pretty harsh. Is this something you have observed or is it information from players.

I've observed this...I know everyone here loves
Sherri, I thought she could do no wrong myself,
Until now..
