Team is struggling to get to West Virginia

Um there was a defender in his face. That's why he had to step back to hit the three. It was good defense. Great shot

It was not good defense. Spangler was leaning back/off balance and allowed an open shot. At the end hate put up his hand but it wasn't near the shooter's face/shot.

Maybe Nick or somebody can post a video clip of the last 25 seconds of the game? I may be confusing the shot that tied the score in regulation with another Harris three. But I certainly don't recall anyone in his face as Bounce is suggesting.

The defender (Spangler?) was in Harris' face, but then backed off...possibly guarding against the drive. Harris astutely saw that and stepped back and you know the rest.

It was poor defense. We could give up a 2, not a 3.

Thanks. I remember that now. I was screaming, "Don't give him the three point shot!" About that time the shot went in and I knew we were in trouble.

If Ryan had not fallen for the "jab step" (thanks MI Sooner) then he would have been in position to prevent Harris from getting a good look. At that point, let Harris drive because his ball handling is terrible and he's only going to score 2 anyway.

Disagree completely. I would take forcing that shot 100 percent of the time

I guess it would be fair to say that if we would have taken care of business the rest of the game, it would not have come down to one shot. What was Spangler doing out defending the parimeter, especially Harris, did someone lose him or what.

I totally disagree, the game I watched, Spangler did have his hans in his face and Harris stepped back and shot.

Go to the 2:24 mark of the highlights to see the shot that tied it in regulation. What nobody has mentioned is that earlier in this possession, W. Va. drove to the bucket for a two pointer and Tyler blocked it. Unfortunately, the blocked shot went out of bounds. The inbounds pass ultimately resulted in the 3 pointer.

In hindsight, it may have been better for us if they had made that layup to cut the lead to one.

Adding WVU to the Big XII was a very stupid mistake. I mean, I know why we did it - becau$e the TV network$ forced our hand by offering more for them than anyone else.

But this stuff is ridiculous. Can you imagine how crappy WVU's travel schedule is?

This is a marriage that needs to end sooner rather than later, for the good of both parties.

It's fine. The Big Sky has had long travel for two decades but they manage.

WVU is not that difficult to get to. There are plenty of flights into Pittsburgh. From there, it's about an hour and 40 minutes by bus or car. Clarksburg is closer, around 40 minutes by vehicle, but there are not as many flights.

The team's problems centered almost entirely around the weather. While it's true that winter weather woes happen more often in that part of the country, it's definitely not the norm. Berry Tramel had an editorial about the trip in this morning's Oklahoman. It's an interesting read. Gives you a feel for what the team went through to get to the game on time:
