Update: The latest report about the recruitment of top unsigned forward prospect Terrence Jones is that he will be visiting Kansas today, according to the Kansas City Star. The visit is the last official one he will take before he announces his college choice. The fact that he's taking the trip indicates the Jayhawks still have a chance to land Jones, even though he hasn't been listing them among his five finalists: Washington, Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma and Kentucky. Jones would likely be able to step in and start at the small forward spot vacated by Xavier Henry if he signed with the Jayhawks.
Update: Terrence Jones will be announcing his college decision April 30 along with his friend and fellow top recruit Terrence Ross, who might be leaning toward signing with the Washington Huskies, as we told you about earlier. Jones has UW on his list, along with Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma, Kentucky and the latest addition to his finalists, Kansas. But according to the Oregonian, Jones' mother, Linda Mashia-Jones, said she doesn't know anything about her son taking a visit to Kansas.

The Kansas Jayhawks got great news last Saturday night when Josh Selby committed to play point guard for them. But they might not be done signing blue-chip recruits just yet.
That's because 6-foot-9 forward Terrence Jones, who we told you yesterday was considering all of his five finalists (Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Oklahoma and Kentucky), plans on taking a visit to Kansas in the next two weeks, according to the Lawrence Journal-World.
He has not been listing Kansas among his five finalists, instead saying he crossed the Jayhawks off his list awhile ago. But partly at the encouragement of Selby, who says Jones could be a good replacement for Xavier Henry, Jones will be taking a visit, seemingly giving the Jayhawks a legitimate shot at landing the versatile forward.
Jones and his good friend and fellow blue-chip small forward prospect Terrence Ross have discussed the possibility of signing with the same school. That won't be an option at Kansas, however, because even though Ross has listed the Jayhawks as one of his finalists for awhile now, Bill Self only has one scholarship left to give out.
