Texas OU

Sadly moreso than any other sport women's hoops it's all about the
Janes and Joans than it is Xs and Os. Talent decides all.

and unlike the men's game the elite talent group in the women's game is extremely
limited.
seems like there a few teams that get the talent each year..

One outlier does not a trend make.
Top 20 signees per roster of the last 10 champs and
final four participants in the women's tourney will prove me right.

There are no Butlers in Women's hoops.

If that were always true, Marist wouldn't have made the runs they made in the tournament in recent years.
Try to keep Marist off the three point line,it tough. The hand twin will do great there.
I got a feeling OU will be better sooner than later.I think Dungee will help with the scoring and Mulkey with help side defense.Good pieces in place.I just hope some kids be like im going OU to win it all.I dont care where the kids come from we need a game changer that will help end this final four drought!!!:billy

We have the following coming in:

Nancy Mulkey
Chelsea Dungee
Morgan Rich
Ana Llanusa

I see Nancy as a potential game changer simply because of 6-9 or 6-10 height. If she can just stay on the court, she is an obstacle that many will fear. I think Ana has the tools to be a game changer.

I see Chelsea and Morgan as being very, very good. But, I'm not exactly sure they will be the type to be THE one that takes us to the Final Four.

But, I also haven't given up on Maddie yet. The things that I have seen say that she can do it, if she puts it together.

I haven't given up on Maddie either, but I'm dang close. She hasn't been much of a factor, Syb.

Sherri has already cut Maddie's minutes. If she doesn't improve soon, Sherri could go with a starting lineup of Gabbi, Peyton, Gioya, Derica, and Kaylon.

Maddie is the least likely of that crowd to sit. Her stat line in bad games is enough to keep her in the lineup. First in steals, second in rebounds, third in blocks, up there in assists----pretty solid.

Watching the game again......blood pressure has finally come down....two days later! Breaking down play by play. KK and Vivi were the difference in this game! Made me aggravated all over again to watch Peyton struggle. The majority of points she finally ended up with were from driving in recklessly (whatever works, right?) to be fouled and get her some FT's. I can't figure out what's going on with her...... it looks like her love of the game is just gone. She looks really tired not even midway through second quarter. Looks like she couldn't catch her breath. Not trying to make excuses but could it possibly be her health?

I saw several fouls that Boyette gave our posts that were NOT called. However, there were several on our part that weren't called either. The total foul count wasn't that far off was it? I know Boyette had 4 (prob should have had 8) and they had 1 other player with 4 and a couple of players with 3. Just curious what the foul count was for both teams.

I'm not going to panic! We can still do this and I believe we can beat them here at home. I just might need to take an extra BP pill before that game! We are better than we showed!

McCarty is a sophomore. They will lose Sanders who did not play against us due to an injury. Most likely will not play the remaining season.
