Texas

I know this isn't the correct narrative here, but Sherri Coale is a great basketball coach and she does her thing with players who are not highly rated, just hard nosed and well coached.

We just beat a team full of big time recruits. But OU was the best team on the court today. Thanks, Sherri. You continue to show why you earn your salary -- and then some.

#24 Kansas State 68
TCU 65

Kansas State could still tie us for third. They are 9-6. We are 12-3.

I remember that some didn't think we could go 12-6. We are at least that.

The best four quarters we have put together this year. I thought the coaching staff was brilliant in their defensive game plan and the kids were almost flawless in their execution. It was fun to see Sherri getting on the refs, you don't see that a lot and I believe was a good equalizer in the second half.

The offense really played within themselves and took what was given. Not a lot of bad shots, a lot of patience. Really proud of the kids toughness today. Still a lot of conference basketball to be played, but there is still a glimmer of hope of hosting a regional. The cream is starting to rise to the top.

Wonderful win kids, fun game to watch.

WOW !!!! WHAT A GAME !!!!! So prOUd of these girls.....Grit, determination, hustle.....Everybody contributed to this win....Gabbi, Playing her best, Glad Peyton found her shot again.....Nancy made some huge blocks when needed the most.....ViVi.....what can I say??? She is playing so good !!!! Great game......Wished I could have been there in person, but the crowd looked good and sounded lOUd !!!!!!!!!!!

Would guess about 2,500-3,000 more than most conference games and they were into the game with noise at the appropriate times. Sherri did encourage the crowd a few times. Sherri complimented the crowd post game.

Absolute Great Game. We played as a team, with everybody EVERYBODY contributing. Chelsea didn't score much but played really good defense. Monster game by ViVi and Gabbi. Seniors and Juniors with experience and toughness kept us going in tough times this year, and are leading us now. Referees better than usual, only missed a few obvious calls. And Sherri rode them hard, often, (been doing that more late this year).
Fun game to watch, good play by both teams.
But we just beat TEXAS, hottest team west of UCONN.

I asked the President and he guaranteed there were at least 125,000 fans in the stands. Said it was the best attended game in the history of basketball. ;);););)

In seriousness, everyone contributed, and the coaching staff had them very well prepared. Gabbi has become a great point guard, Vivi is dominant inside, Nancy showed what 6' 9" means, and Chelsea led us in rebounding once again. And I haven't even mentioned Peyton - what a great shot with 2 seconds left - or Gioya with really excellent play.

Great game to watch in person. There was a lot of excitement in the crowd - and winning made it special.

Now we need to win in Manhattan this week - and we will have an excellent chance to host in the NCAA regionals.

It was great to see the highlights! I don't get Fox Sports Net or whatever channel it was on up here in Boston. Exemplary win against an upward Texas team! I'm even more excited for OUr team because we are still without Maddie. That is a huge resume booster, and I hope it translates well into the Big 12 tourney and NCAAs. BOOMER!

I will be curious to see the rpi tomorrow. This is a week in which #4 Florida State was beaten twice. UCLA upset #9 Washington (Kornet with 15). A&M was upset. Tulane came within four of UConn. Kansas State was beaten. Michigan lost. We made a pretty good case for a top sixteen seed.

Good win for the team, I wasn't sure OU could pull it off but Texas continues to struggle in Norman...

Okay I know this is way off base but watching the replay after the Little 3 and Mulkey is on the bench caking on what looks to be chopstick - just odd to see that in timeout but whatever helps! Good win!

There were some tense moments but this was a very satisfying win. I saw a lot of hustle by the Sooners and some great shooting. I also saw 4 calls against OU in the first half of the 3rd that should not have been called. Nice to get a win in spite of that.

Great win yesterday and a great crowd, loud especially late. I think the future is bright, we will miss gioya for sure and peyton, but with the continued development of ortiz who has played so much better than last year, and vivi becoming SO dominant, next year looks promising. I think dungee could grow into a monster, and llanusa coming in will help that. And Nancy will be so much better next year with a year of off season conditioning.
Very proud of these girls!

Right now, Creme has us as a #6 seed playing Dayton in the Stanford regional. We would go Dayton, Stanford, Notre Dame, and Mississippi State to get to the Final Four. This is as of 2/14. At the time, Texas hadn't beaten Florida State in the first of two Florida State losses this week. I think their #2 is a bit on the edge.

The rpi (real time) didn't raise us after the Texas win. We are still #15 which should be enough for a home court seeding. It should go about:

1 Connecticut
16 Texas A&M

8 Baylor
9 Duke

2 Notre Dame
15 Oklahoma

7 Texas
10 Florida State

3 Mississippi State
14 Kentucky

6 Oregon State
11 Stanford

4 South Carolina
13 Louisville

5 Washington
12 UCLA

But, that would produce three conference matches in the Sweet Sixteen. Besides, Washington and Florida State may fall after this week.

This is all Gabbi.

If she continues playing like this when Maddie comes back we can beat anybody.
As well as Vivi, who has takin it to a new level because of Maddie's abscence . This is getting exciting. That's all I got. Boomer
