The cold hard truth

Honestly, I have no idea how the team is doing this well. They damn near beat Texas, damn near beat Kansas... and the talent level is really bad. I've been really busy this year, but every time I check a score I wonder how the hell they did as well as they did.

They are 10-6.... and they could easily be 12-4 or 13-3, or they could easily be 8-8 or 7-9. They beat a 7-9 South Alabama team by 4, and lose to a top 5 Kansas team by the same margin. South Alabama was winning very late in the game.

They could be 0-4 in conference play, and they could be 4-0.

79-75 against KU on the road
68-63 in overtime against Tech
63-60 against ISU
70-69 against Texas

That's as close it gets... and OU has less talent and athletic ability than those teams.

I don't get it... I would have had them 0-4 in the league so far, which was definitely in play, but again, they could just as easily be 4-0.

Haven't you heard? There's a national officiating conspiracy against OU basketball! IT'S NOT OUR FAULT! Hahaha

I mean its pretty obvious. It is coaching and the style of play Moser is utilizing to keep us in games. I think once we get more athletic you will see the pace pick up some.

It's ironic because the people saying we are losing the close games because of coaching have it ass backwards. We are in the games to begin with because of coaching

When I see this group of dudes.... I see a major talent problem. These games are close because of Moser and the system. I agree.

Agreed as well. I wish we pulled out these close games more frequently, but there's a huge talent gap between OU and teams like KU and UT. I'm not saying Moser is flawless, but it's a damn miracle that THIS team is competing with top 10 teams until the buzzer. His HS recruiting has been solid, so I'm hopefully the talent gap will be reduced over the next few years.

Yeah, good points. The fact that Jacob Groves is a starter tells you everything you need to know about our talent/depth. Nothing against the guy but he's not starter level in the Big 12.

The style of play is Kelvin-like. It's not very enjoyable to watch but it keeps you in games.
