I was in my late 20’s when the Bulls and MJ started their dynasty...

I’ve watched the first 2 episodes.... it’s a joy to look back and remember. I saw them play the Twolves in KC exhibition game... buddy’s brother was a stat guy for the wolves. Course as a good OU fan, I went to see their newest draft pick... Stacey King...lol.

TBH I didn't plan to watch it because I never liked MJ as a teen growing up, but I've always acknowledged him as the best to ever play, in my opinion. I ended up watching the first 2 episodes, and must admit I liked it. I didn't know about the rampant drug use on the Bulls when he first arrived there. I take it all with a grain of salt, because MJ controls a lot of what they can share. I'm sure he will make them clean his image up a bit, lol...

I became pretty good friends with Stacy when we attended OU together, so it will be good to see him if he makes an appearance.

I've never really had a team to cheer for in the NBA -- I just follow those teams that have former Sooners on the roster. But the Jordan-era Bulls were so good and he was so amazing that I did pull for them. I'm learning some stuff from this doc, too, and enjoying the chance to revisit Jordan's greatness. Remarkable to think he's still such an influential figure, that, for example, a line of shoes and apparel with his name on it is still a must-have for young people who never saw him play.

I used to bartend at Mickey Mantle's sports bar and restaurant here in NYC, and one night, just as we were closing, we got a call saying some of the Bulls wanted to come in after hours -- they'd just played an overtime game at the Garden, if I recall correctly.

So we locked the doors at the usual time, but let them in when they arrived. Phil Jackson and MJ were among those who came, and I think Pippin. Not sure who else. Jordan stopped by the bar briefly to chat with some non-players who werre in the group (I think a couple of local journalists were there, too), so I got to shake his hand before he headed to a table in the back of the restaurant to have dinner. I asked his waitress to get his autograph for my nephew, and she did (we weren't supposed to ask for autographs, but I knew she could get away with it).

Phil Jackson sat at the bar and we chatted at great length as I served him drinks and a meal. A very nice guy -- reserved, but not at all standoffish or inaccessible. I really enjoyed talking with him.

Great story Sky! The Bulls were my favorite team in the Michael Jordan era and almost every single one of their games was televised because of WGN. We would gather at my friend's house (he was one of the few that had cable back then lol) and watch every game we could. We went from the Dave Corzine era to the Toni Kukoc era with MJ. Good times! We were all OU basketball fans back then so we could not have been more excited when Stacey King got drafted by them.

I wasn't a Bulls or MJ fan either. I'm recording the series. I'll probably watch it at some point. NBA was a lot of fun to watch back then with all of the different personalities, and a lot of the all time great players. That was the era I pretty much grew up in.

#3 was about Rodman...
#4 is about coach and the bad boys of Detroit

Jackson coached 20 seasons in the NBA... without 1 losing season. Wow...

Kc Jones was next with 10.

Cool.... yeah Jackson is coming off as a pretty good guy.

I feel like the whole thing could be about Bulls v Pistons

There is a lot there

yup....

man, if some of those fouls happened in today's game...there would be a ton of ejections...lol.

I just have to say, after watching some of what MJ did...just wow. Seriously, the dude was unbelievable...like him or hate him...he IMHO was the best...and will be.

Side note....amazing piece on Pippen....and his background.

Didn't watch 3 & 4 yet. Opted to see Homeland Finale instead....
