Was 1981 according to Wikipedia.

30 years.

That surprises me. I figured it hadn't happened often, but I would have guessed late in the Tubbs years it might have happened.

Dang.

OSU and TU made the tournament in those years according to wiki. Was trying to find the info on the school's sites but I'm impatient.

I'm sure your info is good. I couldn't remember for sure if OSU and TU were good during that time.

OSU got Eddie right when Tubbs started to slip, and then OU didn't have Sampson for very long when OSU missed the tournament two years straight right after the 95 Final Four.

Tulsa was good for most of the 80s and 90s. Think of the coaches they had. Richardson, Tubby Smith, and Bill Self at least. They slipped after losing Self.

There were only 32 teams in 1981. Maybe it was less than that. It's hard to miss the tournament in a major conference with 68 teams now. I can understand Tulsa not making it once in a while.

OSU was getting strong at that time. Sutton took over in 1990 I believe.

Who made the tournament in 2007 That was Scott Sutton's first full year and Sampson's last year, both teams went to the NIT.

The only year under Kelvin OU didn't make the NCAA was the year OSU went to the Final 4 in 2004

Well, with Capel at the helm we had better get used to an early baseball season.
