beats OBU by 13 on a buzzer beater by KeitOn Page....at least they are athletic though right?

by the end of the season, their starting lineup will consist of Nash and Olukemi playing the 4 and the 5. They are going to finish 9th in the big 12...just above TT. I can't see them defending anyone.

Their defense is probably going to carry them this year. They don't have any shooters, all the offense is going to be generated from turnovers and running the break after defensive stops. Jurick gives them a legitimate defensive presence down low, but he appears to be a non-factor on offensive.

Travis Ford is going to have his work cut out getting LeBryan Nash to play defense. In the half dozen games I saw him play in high school, he had zero interest. Guerrero also has a reputation for poor defense and Page will give effort but he's a defensive liability. The players that can be outstanding defenders for OSU have offensive warts for the most part. Going to be a tough puzzle to solve.

they don't play D and they don't shoot the ball well .... that is going to be no bueno against big 12 teams

Like I said in the oSu might win the conference thread, winning a dunking contests is not the same as winning basketball games. I think Travis Ford is a competent head coach, and he needs to get his players to understand that the more aggressive they play on defense, the more opportunities they'll have at transition baskets [which I think will have to be a major part of their point production for them to be successful].

Anyone that would say OSU is the most athletic team either doesn't know what they are talking about or is trying to solicit a debate.

I see what you just did there.

Very atheletic team. However the only consistent shooter n the team is Paige. Olukemi and Nash will rely on taking the ball to the basket to score. JP got most of his points last year on FTs. Guerraro is a greased lightning but is not a half court threat. Cobbins is a great rebounder and shot blocker, but is lacking in offensive skills.

The offense will have to be generated by the defense and turnovers. Don't know if we will have a consistent scorer. It will be exciting but may not always translate into wins

Which team in the Big 12 has a better collection of athletes than Lebryan Nash, Michael Cobbins, JP Olukemi, Markel Brown, and Brian Williams?

Baylor....

I'm really looking forward to watching oSu and Baylor square off. Not a fan of either team, but that match-up should make for some entertaining basketball.

Baylor....

Duece Bello, Perry Jones and Quincy Acy are all awesome athletes. Quincy Miller (from what I've read) isn't so much insanely athletic but insanely skilled for his size. Pierre Jackson apparently can really jump, but what does that really mean when you're under 6 foot? How much does that help in a game situation? I never got the impression that guys like A.J. Walton or Anthony Jones were exceptionally athletic.

I might be missing a newcomer though, or someone is slipping my mind.

As far as OSU goes. They will not finish 9th. I'd put some internet bucks on that one.

Nash's defensive effort has been really good the first two exhibition games. He's been rotating, hedging screens well, and playing decent man-to-man defense. He even has tried to take a couple of charges. He was late getting over on both of them though.

Certainly haven't seen any lack of effort out of Guerrero, his man to man defense isn't much at this point, but he has super quick hands and is very, very aggressive.

Perry Jones, Quincy Acy.... those are the only two big time athletes they have.

Pierre Jackson is more athletic than anyone of Oklahoma St's point guards and is one of the better athletes in the league.

Deuce Bello is equal to whichever one of the Oklahoma St's Louisiana guards that you're currently loving.

Quincy Miller good athlete, not as explosive as Lebryan Nash, buts he not giving up much overall.

So what I am getting from you biased anti-OSU people is that OSU and Baylor are both equally very athletic and that you could make an arguement for either team.

So, some people will say OSU is the most athletic, and some people will say Baylor is the most athletic.

For some reason it would just really hurt some of you guys to say OSU is the most athletic, and you are sure trying hard to keep from doing so, lol.
