The most athletic team in the big 12

If you are an underdog, prepare to be pimped.

When can we expect the OU evaluation? If there was a year that we are the underdog, this is it. Actually, never mind, don't want you to jinx us [JK, sort of].

90% of my posts are about OU on this board.

10% are pimping other teams.

Just don't pimp OU = kiss of death!

I'm really just trying to give you a hard time, hope it is being taken that way.

OSU is picked 7th, Other than the 2-3 teams at the top we don't know alot about the other 6-7. I also don't think that the A&M is as dominant as the favorite as Kansas has been the last several years. A lot of teams could finish anywhere from the bottom 4 to the top 4.

At least with a home/home it will be fair to all.

I wouldn't take Ford under any circumstances. Capel may have had his ups and downs but we did win 4 NCAA games and make an elite 8 and his players from those teams swear by him. Just because Capel was not up to OUs standards does not mean he isn't head and shoulders above hillbilly.

So you're saying getting in to the NCAA tourney twice when you have the POY and No. 1 draft pick, but the 3 years he isn't on the team you don't even sniff the NIT makes Capel a better coach than a guy who has made the post-season every year?

I don't know who is more athletic but I would take Baylor's team over any other team in the big 12. OSU will not have any chance of beating Baylor. They have no chance of stopping any of their post players down low.

You do realize Scott Drew still coaches at Baylor? Name the last time Baylor has swept OSU? I know it hasn't been in the last 7-8 years. I don't think it has ever happened. I'm not saying OSU is the better team or will finish higher, but I would bet they can win at least one game against Baylor.

I was at the OSU vs OBU game and it was sloppy and revealing.

Page- I see now why Ford keeps him on the court a lot, he is the only player that seems to know the game mentally.

Dowell is a defense liability. Fred Gulley is offense liability.

Oluekemi- Don't know about this guy yet.. He seems confused and apathetic at times. it's 50/50 if he shows up.

Cobbins- good athlete he can run the floor, high upside but right now he must defend bigger guys at the 4 and 5. In a halfcourt game he can be exposed.

Cj guerrero- besides taking a couple of premature shots, he hasn't looked that bad. Like Nash i figured he would struggle but seemed to be relaxed. Defense isn't that bad because of his quickness.. Did struggle at times in the halfcourt on offense.

Jurick- Space filler with above average defense skill.. but right now isn't going to score on anyone. His rebouding was unimpressive but OBU was only his second game but again with his size i figured he would muscle up way more than he did.

Nash- so far he defense hasn't been all that bad. He scores really well also.. after watching some practices i thought he would struggle but he shows up.

B. Williams- athletic guard that is 6'5 but is being asked to play the 4 position. Got exposed in the halfcourt game against OBU.

M. Brown- best athlete on the team hands down.. and i'm willing to bet that he is also the worst shooter on the team. Great defender.. but right now he is just like Fred Gulley.

talented team full of athletes.. but I question this team's basketball I.Q.

Hopefully they get better.. teams aren't gonna let osu run and down the court all the time.

Good luck with that bet. If they can stop Acy, Jones, and Miller down low than expect OSU to win the big 12.

Making any kind of broad generalizations about a relatively inexperienced team after two exhibition games is rarely useful.

I don't know if we're the most athletic, but we have some high flying guys. I don't think that Basketball exhibitions are a big indicator of what will happen. Much like the NFL preseason.

Outside shooting is an obvious weakness. Page is proven, Brian Williams and Cezar are supposed good outside shooters, but we haven't seen them in games yet.

Fred Gulley is a winner. His team wins every drill. He will be have a major role especially on defense. Dowell plays hard and does some good things.

OSU's scoring success will come from the play of Nash, Olukemi and Brown, these guys have the ability to get in the lane and draw fouls. OSU will be a bubble team, but I think we'll start to see Ford's recruits gel as he starts to build some talent at OSU.

I love college basketball and it starts TONIGHT!

I believe this is a very accurate assessment. If the youngsters all play up to the level they can, the pokes will be pretty salty, IMO. They have some young athletes on that squad, and they should be exciting to watch, especiallly at GIA. With that said, I HATE ORANGE!!!!!:):)
