The NBA Playoffs/Thunder/Blake Thread

You can post all you want about Durant averaging 28.0 ppg in this series, but anyone with two eyes knows it isn't an efficiencent 28.0ppg. He is shooting 40% from the field, 28.6% from 3 point range, and 71.8% from the FT line. On top of that, he is averaging 4.0 turnovers/game.

Just like Westbrook has been putting up big numbers, but far from efficient with his 34.4% shooting percentage.

This x100.

How about the clown theory that Joey Crawford somehow iced Durant on that free throw? lol It caused him to shoot it 8 inches left of center.

it's a weak excuse but crawford is also a weak excuse for a ref.

Who freaking does that? and then to be an asshole to the scorers table

What do you mean who does that? I see that happen fairly often in hoops.

That said, do you know why he did it, and why he was that to the scorer's table? Because THEY messed up when putting which team was in the bonus on the scoreboard. That is a pretty important thing to have right, since coaches rely on that to make decisions about fouling and such. And the OKC boys couldn't get it right. Crawford get's no blame on that at all. Steve Javy(sp) was just on ESPN saying the same thing. Crawford did exactly what NBA refs are taught to do.

do you even read posts. Not once have I said KD has played well in this series. I have said the opposite. geez learn to read junior

You said his numbers were "pretty damn good". His points/game numbers are inflated from a large number of attempts (inefficient, mind you).

LOL at calling me "junior".

The official closest to the table supposedly asked them to correct it beforehand and it wasn't done. Blame the OKC scoring table and their error and not Crawford.

I have never seen a ref blow a whistle when a player has started their free throw motion.

I realize the scorers table messed up. But the way he treats people is just inexcusable imo. Yelling at people and saying "look at me. look at me". He's a freaking asshole. All you have to do is google him.

Add to the fact that he is a horrible ref....

He even blew a review that favored the thunder last night. he was an ass to a fellow ref and yelled at him several times "white ball. white ball we will review it". He spent about 10 seconds reviewing it and imo got it wrong but he let his ego get in the way of making the correct call because he was so adament that he was right

oh my goodness. Obviously you answered my question. you read the posts but can't comprehend anything.

lol

I said for somebody having a horrible series (well look at that I said he was playing horribly) his numbers were still impressive (read, for just about any other player).

Nobody has said he has played well. Nobody has said he wasn't inefficiant.

Do you prefer son?

Oh wait did james win the title in 2007? weird b/c I thought you had to win the title to be clutch.

Again, the whole argument is that camp said it was laughable to say that durant was close to lebron. It isn't. The clutch thing was just supporting evidence. Before two years ago, everybody said lebron wasn't clutch enough to win a title. now he is. Go sift through KDs playoff games. When a series is on the line, he usually has great games. And to clarify, when I was saying clutch I was talking about game winning or tying shots.

Lebron is clearly the best player in the league. He coasted this year, in particular on defense (he is heads and shoulders a better defender than Durant IMO), because he is running on fumes IMO. And even with that, his offensive efficiency was off the charts this year.

I would please like to see the shooting percentage for Lebron and Durant on game winning or tying shots.

sounds like if the ref knew it was wrong he should have made sure it was corrected before going to the line.

His numbers are not "still impressive". You need to look beyond the ppg.

Call me whatever you want. Good stuff.

From offense to defense, efficiency and ability to make others better...the total package...Lebron is #1 by himself. It isn't really close IMO.

Durant can get there, but he is being exposed right now. I don't buy the mentally weak thing some people are throwing out, he just needs to find his stride and get in the weight room. Some of the advantages Lebron has is directly attributed to his size. I think he is the best pure athlete of all time if you factor in all of his measurements. Will be interesting to see how KD deals with negativity for the first time in his career, up until this point, he's always had a reason (too young, RW got hurt, bad coaching). We're going to find how broad his shoulders are the next 12-24 months.

oh you mean like rebounds or assists? I've already said he has played horrible. I am obviously looking at more than the numbers because the numbers are good. I don't understand what you don't understand

You mean like his 4.0 turnovers/game?

Keep thinking his numbers are impressive.

sorry but you are simply wrong.
Again, you are putting too much into one series
