I'd say Brown and Forte are having the best seasons so far of anybody that will be playing in the game as far as 3 point shooting goes. Brown has been unconscious from deep of late, having two games with 7 makes in each (14 of 18 in those two games). OU won't be able to keep up if it comes down to that.

I believe you're making the same point that I made in my post: If OSU shoots a high percentage from three-point range, the Cowboys will win the game.

The "hell hole" game was against an OSU team that finished 17-16 and lost in the first round of the NIT. It also lost two other home conference games that year.

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about?

In their past 20 games in Stillwater, OU has faced six ranked oswho squads in Stillwater, going 2-4 (.333) against the aggies.

But you said 20+ years, so let's take it back to 1990. That leaves OU at 3-5 (.375) against ranked oswho teams.

I could go back further, but from 1959 through 1989, the aggies were ranked just once when they faced the Sooners at historic GIA. That was in 1983, and you guessed it -- OU won.

By contrast, over the past 20 games in Norman, oswho has faced 8 ranked OU squads. They've gone 1-7 (.125) in those games.

Go back to 1990, and the number of ranked OU teams jumps to 11, and oswho's record "improves" to 2-9 (.181).

I'll leave the '80s out of it because, well, it's just embarrassing for you guys.

Stupid Aggie

Just kidding too easy. Sure is wonderful to be talking about Bedlam basketball. Even though I think both teams are pretty average as compared to some of the teams of the past, it's still nice to see this game have relevence!

Back in the day with Tubbs v Hamilton and Sutton v Sampson - epic games and tons of talent. How about the last game in GI arena in March of 2000. Nolan Johnson was unstoppable. Sampson went one out four on the baseline and Nolan scored at will - it was awesome. And the OSU President, came out at half time and they "captured" teh spirit of the arena is some urn and then the Sooners came back from 13 points down to win. Awesome memories!

Here's the box score from that night. Great names on both sides. Sure does make you long for the days of great college basketball

• Oklahoma has won 11 of the last 17 overall meetings with Oklahoma State and holds a 129-94 all-time series advantage. The Sooners have won three of the last seven Bedlam matchups played in Stillwater (posted regular season sweeps in 2006, 2008 and 2009).
• OU never trailed in a 77-68 win over OSU on Jan. 12, the Sooners' ninth straight home victory in the series. OU shot a season-high .615 from 3-point range (8-for-13) and recorded a .905 mark at the free throw line (19-for-21). Romero Osby led four Sooners in double figures with 17 points and was followed by Buddy Hield (15), Amath M'Baye (15) and Steven Pledger (11).
• Oklahoma has already won more games away from home this year (7-5 record) than it did over the last two seasons combined (6-25 record). Its seven wins away from home are tied with Kansas for the most by a Big 12 team. OU is 4-4 in true road games this season (2-3 in Big 12 play).

• Hield sustained a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot in the second half of OU's win over TCU on Monday and underwent successful surgery on Tuesday. I miss having so many guards that could score it efficiently. You are talking about some of the best shooters OU basketball has seen, all on one roster. Plus Nolan Johnson who was very unique in how we used him at times. Seeing a list of guards like that is why I don't consider us "back" just yet.

I think 2007 is the first year you really see the guard talent on the roster go way down. Part of that, obviously, is that Reynolds never made it to campus.
