Jerry Meyer choose ou for his crystal ball today.
Is Meyer considered pretty well connected?
If we add Trae Young to the talent we have, I predict another "has Kruger peaked" offseason thread in 2 years.

Yes he runs the bb recruiting site. National Scout director for 24/7
So he is someone who "hears things"? Not saying that negatively. Just asking, to try understand his grasp of the situation.

FWIW, his full time job is being a college basketball recruiting guru. This is how he makes his living. According to 247Sports, his Crystal Ball predictions so far for the 2017 class have been correct 71.8% of the time, which ranks him #1 among his peers in the basketball recruiting guru profession, according to 247Sports.

Locally, James Hale is an OU focused recruiting guru, although he concentrates on football. He also makes his living this way, although he also has a sports-talk radio program each weekday (11am - 2pm) on AM-1400.
It is amazing that there are people like this all over the country that make a good living by providing "inside information" to people out there like you and me that are interested in the recruitment of athletic high school kids. The "gurus" are sports fans that have found a market niche following the sports and teams that they love. Not a bad gig compared to some jobs.
The "gurus" constantly try to get information from high school coaches, AAU coaches, high school players, parents, college coaches, and whatever "insider" contacts they develop over the years. Even so, their predictions are often wrong, as high school kids have minds that are unfathomable, and they can change their minds at any time.
While I have zero inside information, I follow recruiting in both football and basketball very closely. One thing I do know is that the majority of these guys do not follow in their dad's footsteps and choose the same college. Heck, we're getting to the point where if there are two athletes in the family, they're choosing different colleges (think of Harvey Grant's boys). I remember Rick Berry had 4 sons who played D-1 - none went to his school and all 4 played not only in separate schools, but separate conferences. It's just not a big deal to go where dad went, and it hasn't been for about 25-30 years.
I would be more inclined to think that son was respecting dad by throwing TTech a bone. Regardless, they at least have a chance. I still think it's either OU or one of the big boys, but it's nothing more than a guess.
It's still just a guess on his part. I'm guessing OU gets him as long as we don't take a huge step back this year. What is huge? I don't know, that would be for Young to decide. I also think it's probably down to OU, UK, and KU. Really can't see him going to TT, OSU, or Washington.
