In context, it appeared you were saying the fan base follows softball simply because the admins support it and it doesn't support men's hoops because of a lack of support from the admins. I read your post and those that preceded it two or three times. If I misunderstood, my apologies. But it doesn't change what I said: None-too-subtle digs at and resentment of the softball program are seen frequently on this board.

Agree. “RTs are not necessarily endorsements” or something like that. Kid looked to have some promise as a freshman but this year when I’ve seen them he plays sparingly or has no impact. The numbers reflect that.

This is hilarious. There were over 3 million people watching the first round of the tournament last year. Softball gets 516K and people think that's something. It's so, so, sad.

2 million is the best it'll get. The Final Four gets 7X better ratings than that.

I don't get what you get out of hating something OU is good at. Just don't watch. Why bash it? Softball is huge, nationwide. But because tarheel doesn't like it, it's a crap sport.

I remember him being underrated out of HS but definitely wasn't OU caliber. He's been at a new school every year. Bad sign, and he's not a pass-first PG. He's another kid who'd kill it at Tulsa but I'm guessing he's thinking bigger than that (the reality may not match his thinking?).
