I was feeling nostalgic the other day. Saw you and I were both day 1 on this board and had been on the previous board since at least 2001. 24 years talking OU basketball with some of you all is wild. PS - I miss ada!

Certainly lots of pro-type bodies & athleticism but I worry about their perimeter shooting. Also don’t really trust Muss to maximize their offensive abilities. Should be very good on the other end though. They’ll be interesting to follow. Individually I like all of those guys but together I wonder a bit about the fit. Obviously they’ll continue to add though so it may come together just fine.

Rashaun Agee is growing on me a little if we were to miss on Reid. Not sure if we have reached out, but may be bit cheaper and won't tie up a roster spot for multiple years.

Guess I look at tying “up a roster spot for multiple years” as a positive in regards to roster construction and stability.

True, I guess I consider Buddy a guard, same with Reaves. We haven't really put a long, athletic 3/4 hybrid in the league. Osby had a chance, but didn't make it is the closest I can remember.

Maybe this will surprise people, since people think I always hate our roster, but why do people think we need another guard? Pack, Brown, and Dayton are pure guards, and JN and Jones both seem like 3s to me. That’s five guys for the three spots … teams very rarely play more than five guards. Unless the latter two guys aren’t as good as some have said, we should be ok there.

I completely agree. I think we are good on the perimeter with Brown, Pack, Forsythe, Jones, Nwankwo and Davis. What I should have said was the general feeling to need add another guard.

I was the second member of this board, came over in October, 2008 when the original owner/member (OU Hoops) asked me to join him in opening a basketball only board dedicated to Sooner basketball. I used to be a mod on the OUInsider board.

It didn’t take long to steal a few members from OUI and to get some of them to join me as administrators—among them NYSooner, BigTime, MsProudSooner and Thebigabd.

I apologize if I missed someone! I can confirm that memory loss is one of the first things to go when you’re in your eighties (I’m 84 now). Don’t get me wrong. I’m not complaining. Too many of my friends, some of them former members of this board, aren’t around anymore!

BoulderSooner, Pnkranger, 84Sooner and Skyvue were among the original OUHoops members. We got lucky when Boulder joined the board! If he had not stepped up to the plate to take over the board, I don’t think it would have survived this long. Thank you, Boulder!

It's amazing what having a little $ to work with can do! I feel if we had the same financial commitment last year, good chance we landed Pudulla, Scott and Garrison. Maybe even Overton, although I think following his coach to Tech had something to do with that. PM seems to be a decent recruiter when he has some resources to help.
