Keep in mind that most of these #s are completely BS floated out there by agents.. my friend's bmd source is going to confirm how much the Chavez payment was and he said it was way less than the 1.5 mil bs that was thrown around
Not as of now.Any follows?
Considering the source (ON3), you should always be cautious. For example recently they tried to inflate the Mateer NIL # by including both years.Keep in mind that most of these #s are completely BS floated out there by agents.. my friend's bmd source is going to confirm how much the Chavez payment was and he said it was way less than the 1.5 mil bs that was thrown around
I am ridiculously high on kai rogers. I'm hoping he's so good that he starts over wague. But I'm trying to be realistic that he'll be a freshman, but still..After giving it a second thought, I think we definitely need a good point guard. I think Dayton can play the point, but you need more than one. I am in the boat that Miles isn't capable of playing point (at all). I like Duke and hope he comes back but he is a short wing player in my opinion.
I wonder if Cole's leaving was the coaching staff's decision or his. I thought he had unrealized potential. But, we never really got to see much of him to know. The coaches would certainly have a better idea.
As for the importance of another big, you sort of need to know what we will get with the 7 foot foreign kid. Based on last years film circulating during recruiting season, he didn't look anywhere near strong enough to play in the post in the SEC. Maybe down the road, but I think you have to assume not much next year. I think we desperately need a proven rebounder. I think I have a higher opinion of the Rogers kid than most on here (it seems). I just love the kid's film. But, it is hard to count on a freshman. Thus, my wish list for a "proven" rebounder and post defender. SEC frontcourts are monsters inc.
So, I guess put me in the boat with those saying we need a point and a rebounding big most. Then, I agree with whoever said on here that we need a difference maker or two to have any hope of being upper half of the SEC next year.
Dayton ForsytheI would also say our needs are #1 PG and #2 athletic big man. We absolutely need a PG. I wouldn’t be comfortable at all with the guys we have being our full time PG.
IF we’re looking at improving on this season and being better than we were this past season…we need a good starting PG, good athletic post player, and another guard/wing scorer. At the least.

I wouldn’t be comfortable with him as the starting PG. Maybe he proves to be a great PG but we don’t know yet. Should we risk it or be sure by grabbing a good PG? We need 2 legit PG anyway.Dayton Forsythe

We'll see if this actually happens...
