Not really to me. In the past few years it was complaints that our guys were going to high-level schools. Now it's lower level schools. Players will always leave, and it will be one or the other.

How so? OU has been eliminated for a week. Plenty of time to get a couple portal guys in. South Carolina is not some NIL power, and they have had a couple top guys in.

Eaglestaff is one of the better players in the portal… we don’t have that just lying around right now

They've already started Zoom meetings and started setting up visits for guys. They aren't sitting on their hands...and you are talking a small # of guys committed....not a plethora of commits.

Can't say I'm overly optimistic about our portal season, but pretending our staff is just sitting on their hands is silly. Effective? Maybe not. But they aren't sitting around playing Madden 40 hours a week.
