Lusk saying it will not be financially feasible to bring in Claude now that we have decided to bring in Brown

surely they can just over pay his dad .. and make the deal and keep money for claude

Okay, so say we land Xzayvier Brown and Khamari McGriff (just speculating), the team looks like this:

PG: Xzayvier Brown / Dayton Forsythe
SG: Nijel Pack
SF: Jeff Nwankwo / Jadon Jones / Alec Blair
PF: Tae Davis / Khamari McGriff / Kuol Atak
C: Mo Wague / Kai Rodgers / Andreas Holst

Obviously guys like Nwankwo and Jones can play the 2, and I don't think it would be wild to put Davis at the 3 in spurts, but I'd think we need another guard - preferably one with a knack for playing defense (Javontae Campbell perhaps?) - and I wouldn't be opposed to adding another big. McGriff could be used as a 5 though (if we get him) so it all depends on how the staff sees the player fits right now

I personally think Campbell should be out of the works now... need a preferably bigger guy at the SG spot to slot next to Pack who can shoot the three and play solid defense.

If we get Brown, our starting 1 and 2 is going to be some combo of Brown and Pack. That's why I suggested Campbell. He's a good fit to come off the bench, provide some defense and rebounding, and is still a solid scorer even if he isn't a great shooter

I expect Saint Joseph’s transfer Xzayvier Brown, who just entered the portal, to be Oklahoma’s next point guard. He averaged 17.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists as a sophomore for the Hawks. I’m told the staff views Brown as the best point guard currently available in the portal.

I also expect his stepdad, Justin Scott — Saint Joseph’s associate head coach — to join Oklahoma’s staff in the role vacated by Armon Gates.

While there are multiple things I still want in this cycle, a legit big is clearly the most pressing need. It is a crime that Moser didn't start Mo all season, but I wouldn't want to go into next season with Mo and a freshman as our two options.
