I say don't save money this year. Sign all the talent you can, particularly if they have more than one year of eligibility. If the House settlement goes through this summer, then this might be the last year of the mega pay to play contracts. If so, then there is a chance our talent will be stuck with us on their current deals and it won't make sense for them to test free agency after next season. This is exactly what the colleges hoped for when they agreed to the settlement. Don't know if it will work out that way. But, future deals will be limited to "fair market value" on NIL deals. With a presumption that almost no one has a value exceeding $600,000.00.
This is why I think Nico (at Tennessee) did what he did. Many believe you have to get the mega deals now, before they are a thing of the past. While I say go all in, if you can, now. I'm with whoever said that, if we get Brown, they want our money spent on a center instead of another guard. I think if you get brown, you can find a competent back up guard with 2000 kids in the portal.
Can't say that I have watched to much of the committed kids play. On davis, I have only watched his highlight film. There is no way he can be as good as his highlight film. But, his numbers say is a good player and probably a decent or comparable player to Moore. Haven't watched much on Pack. But, have watched a little on Brown. Sign me up. He looks like a pretty good player to me. Hope we get him.
