Alfalfa has it made. 10 years @ $2M a year??? He11, I'll coach the cowgirls!!!

Apparently, Grant made a brilliant coaching move by holding out his best player. :facepalm

:ez-roll: I would never have thought of using that strategy.

Seriously, though, I'm afraid that's what will happen when we play Cincy. Now that they're backs are against the wall with the loss of three players, those left will have something to prove. I have a feeling they'll come out fighting like a mother Grizzy defending its cubs. To win, our players will have to match their intensity, which is never easy when you're on the road.

I'm with you, Ada. Ford's right -- while it's obviously not a plus for a team to lose key players, the results can sometimes be surprising.

Cincy's playing very well right now. They've won all three games since the suspensions (admittedly against weak competition), by margins of 20, 31, and 48 points. If we do lose that game, I hope our fans don't base their reactions on the mere fact that the Bearcats suspended some players.

I bet if we lose to Cincy, Kruger will still answer questions after the game.

The last time that I recall a Poke coach not taking questions during a presser was the "I'm a man" tirade.

After one of their NIT games in NYC Ford didn't come out for his press conference for a hour or so, lots of national guys were talking about it via Twitter.

Like Xavier did vs. ORU? I think we come out and beat them by 30.

Sure hope you're right. I still believe Cincy is a dangerous team that is perfectly capable of giving us our second loss.

We'll have had over a week to prepare for Cincy without their best players. It's a little bit different to prepare for a team that loses a player at the last minute we've known about this suspension for weeks when the game starts.
