Now that the new schedule is out, I see some new items that i've never seen before... Couple of questions..

--Will the UTSA game, which says SSTV, be on FSOK? Because lots of SSTV content is on that channel.
--What the heck is "Big 12 Now"? There are 3 OU games scheduled for that. Will that be outside of the normal ESPN/2/U? If so, that sucks! Especially if you have to pay extra for it. SMH

Why can't they keep it the way it's been?

I hope the answer to the first question is yes, but I'm wondering the same thing. As to the second question, the game will only be available via ESPN+, i.e., the ESPN streaming service that costs $5/month. The only good thing, as Sky pointed out in another thread, is that all three of our games on that platform are in January, so anyone who wants to watch all three would just have to sign up for one month. Unfortunately, I think more and more content will be on there in the months and years to come.

I doubt the SSTV game will be FSOK. At least not live. I know in previous years these SSTV games has run a few hours later on FSOK but that is not something that would be known until much closer to the game.

Big 12 Now is part of ESPN+. Get ready because more and more games will be going to ESPN+.

OU is immune to ESPN+ in football (as well as TX) for now. But all other B12 schools will have at least one football game on ESPN+ for the foreseeable future.

ESPN+ is the streaming side of ESPN. It costs $4.99 a month. Depending on what sports you like it could be worth it. There is a lot of UFC on there. The good news is that it is month to month. So you can sign up watch what you want to watch and cancel without paying for months you don't want.

Also, November 12, Disney+ will launch. At that time they are going to do a bundle subscription of Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ for 12.99. If you are a parent or really into the Disney content (Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, etc...) it seems like a good deal.

All I know is that pretty much in the entire Kruger era at least, i've gotten to see every OU basketball game with AT&T Uverse 200 in Houston. I've been wondering when i'll be forced to start going a la carte, this may be the beginning.

I don't want to subscribe to Soonersports.TV as I have before and had bad experiences. Plus, I pay enough for ESPN and don't want to pay any more.... Sorry for the rant!

I think it has a lot to do with "cutting the cord"

All new ways to recoup money lost.

If you have a valid TV service, such as Directv, don't you get the ESPN+ for free? Or this something new?

It's a new streaming service, not one of their regular cable channels. It might be available as a cable channel -- not sure -- but it comes with an extra fee, if so.

the UTSA game is only on SSTV because there is a thunder game that night at the same time so FSOK is not available

I'm guessing that if one of the alternate Fox Sports channels isn't available for a live broadcast, the game will be shown on tape delay in the wee hours. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

i would think so also

but it is weird FSOK is not showing the football game replays this year

When Disney bought Fox, they had to sell the Fox Sports regional channels. so All OU football games are part of ESPN and Fox Sports OK is part of Sinclair Broadcasting.

i am pretty sure that OU owns the rights to all of their games for replay ie last year the espn/abc games were still replayed on Foxsports ok

You are correct. All the games were replayed last year and this year they are not. Many basketball games were replayed too. Disappointing that they don't do football replays this year. They replay everything else...
