Uconn is the best basketball program

Not sure how Uconn winning their 4th title in the last 16 years and 2nd of the last 4 is a sign of parity. They have been to the elite eight 10 of the last 25 years. The place is an an nba producing factory where 5 stars flock with no sign of abating. Their women's team is decent too.

To me you need to look past the name and recognize that a 7 seed beat an 8 seed in the Championship game. How many people picked either of those teams to be in the championship game?

I understand your point. Lots of people had UK making it. As for Uconn, they were under seeded because the committee undervalued the AAC. Louisville was ranked #5 and assigned a 4 seed. SMU was ranked and left out. Uconn was ranked #17 and assigned a 7 seed, etc. Likewise the committee overvalued the big 12. In retrospect Uconn should have been a 4-5 seed.

Regardless, it shows me there isn't parity. That even in what appears a down year the Uconns & Kentuckys have stockpiled enough talent to gel & reach the final 4 while most teams, OU included, get exposed.
