Unlikely, I know.....

It could happen. Texas plays in Lubbock tonight, and in Austin against Baylor on Saturday. Win both of those and they're the 9th seed. If we finish the season tied, then the 9th seed is determined by the WVU/ISU winner in Morgantown on Saturday. If ISU wins on the road, then Texas is in.

I don't want to finish last in the conference no matter who we would face in the second round of the B12 tournament. I just don't think it matters.

Does it really matter that we end up finishing 9th instead of last? I don't think it's just gonna devastate the players at this point. And while a tournament run seems very unlikely, we aren't a typical last place team from past big 12 tournaments. We aren't an automatic win and pushover. Besides maybe 2 big 12 games, we have been in the lead or at least within a couple points in every game home or away. So if we can avoid playing Kansas in what is another home game basically, I would like to see that opportunity happen. But like others have said, I don't want that to come at the expense of us losing Saturday.

I'm just saying I want OU to finish in 9th place. I want them to win Saturday. Some of you want them to finish 10th. I can respect that.

I'm actually not worried about who we play in the second round of the B12 tournament. I want to win the 1st game before I worry about the 2nd game. It's not a given. We should be talking about who we want to play in the 1st round: TT, TCU, or KSU.

As for the 2nd round, I don't care who we play: KU, WVU, ISU, or WVU. They're all tough. Pick your poison. Actually ISU fans travel as well to the touranement as the KU fans do, and they are rabid. We will be playing on some slightly tired legs because we will have played the night before, and whatever team will be coming in fresh and have scouted us the night before.... assuming we win.

It's really hard to beat a team three times. We've had KU down twice. I'd like to get a third shot. We're due.

This. Are we more likely to beat anyone other than KU than we are KU? Of course bit none is especially likely. I want us to beat TCU and not finish 10th. We'll worry about beating Kansas when we get there.

In that first round match up, whether we are a 8,9 or 10 seed. Who do you think we match up the best with? Assuming that the teams we would play would be Tech, TCU, Texas and possibly K State.

7 plays 10 and 8 plays 9. We won't play Texas. Right now I would prefer K-State because of how easily we handled them last weekend. It wasn't a fluke. We were the better team IMHO.

Like CoolM and usedtobe, I would much rather play K-State right now.....by a mile. They are cratering and appear to have hit the wall.

If we beat TCU Saturday, which I think we will, they will have lost I think 7 in a row. K-state's not the only team cratering. We're better than both right now and I think Texas Tech as well.
