So if buddy is projected as a late first to early second round pick expect him to enter? Thank you for your insight.

I expect him gone. Even if projected late first or early 2nd

i would have to agree, not many seniors are lottery picks these days, so not sure he can improve his stock too much especially if he is a first round pick this year. I would think he should go. Of course the selfish side of me wants him to come back but i would understand him leaving.

Just my honest opinion, and with a bit of "homer" thrown in, but I think any underclassman who "declares" and then goes in the second round just threw away a good thing. Even if you don't necessarily improve your draft stock, at least you're that much closer to a college degree. And in Buddy's case, it's that much closer to some serious personal and team honors.

The NBA's draft practices are also a big reason why I don't get all that worked up over that league. They'd rather take a six-point scorer who's a freshman but has "up side" rather than taking a 17-point per-game scoring senior - or at least it sure seems that way.

If Buddy can be minimized by KSU then NBA defenses will render him useless. He probably would have a better chance of landing a guaranteed contract worth real bucks if he came back on a very good team that inflated his reputation.

I look for him to stay his senior year. He needs to improve his ball handling skills. They will eat him up in the NBA.

Buddy turned in 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals on Saturday. You're right, that's just awful.

The problem is that going in the second round could be a future in Europe. Second round selections do not get a guaranteed contract. Going in the first round is really important. I say Buddy stays because I don't think he is a first round pick at this point.

Buddy will be a role player in the NBA. He won't be asked to be the best player. He should go there is no point in coming back if he has a great tournament.

Does Buddy have a chance to be POY if he comes back? If he puts on another ten pounds of muscle and can improve his handles it could make a few million dollars per year difference in his contract. I'm sure of one thing, if Buddy does come back, OU will be considered a top eight team.

Buddy should do what is best for Buddy. I’m certain that Buddy will be well educated on the pros and cons of staying vs. going. Coach Kruger has a history in the NBA, has countless contacts in the basketball profession, and has Buddy’s best interests at heart. The entire OU coaching staff is looking out for Buddy’s best interests. They love the guy.

Agree, no doubt Buddy is in the right hands with Lon and staff to make the right decision.

of course they don't have the clutching and holding on the outside like college basketball does

If Buddy finishes strong then he should go after just watching Justise Winslow play against North Carolina and the fact that he is considered a lottery pick makes me wonder about NBA scouts these days. Does anyone here think Kelly Oubre is better than Buddy? Oh wait he has potential and more upside sure. The NBA scouts evaluating talent these days are ruining the game by picking young talent who for the most part can't even dominate college basketball except a rare few eg Jahil Okafor.

Buddy is the leading scorer in perhaps the toughest league in college basketball. If he as doing this at North Carolina he would have been considered a lock in the first round no questions asked.
