Dinijyl deserves some special props for his performance tonight. His 10 points and 3 rebounds in relief was huge in our come from behind win. It should also be noted that he did it in 11 minutes.

The improvements he has made since last year have been nothing short of remarkable!

He's gotta be about the 3rd most improved player on this team

Seniors seem to step up time and again he is a big asset.

This game coulda gone the other way and Dinjiyl came in and really carried us to some quick points to get back into it. Great game by him.

I never dreamed he would be this effective after watching him last season. His outside shot is 1000 better and he's comfortable out there. I can tell he fits in well with the rest of the team, too.

He was so key to getting us back on track, I was surprised he didn't see some more minutes.

This does not surprise me at all He made some really nice contributions last year but struggled with consistency I really thought he would show a lot of imorovement My hope is he will be insistent all season

I totally agree. He was obviously a good player based on what he did last season. However, he struggled to play well with consistency. This year he seems to contribute is most games. Overall, he's turned into a really nice player. If we didn't have 3 great guards ahead of him he'd be starting and doing more. Still, being an important contributor on a top 2 team is a testament to his abilities.

He was a good scorer last year, but this year he's picking his spots better and much improved defensively. I really like Walker because it seems as if he's bought into his role from day 1.

I had a sneaking suspicion that Walker would come into his own this year. He was a strong scorer (~17 ppg) 40% from 3 in JUCO and he showed flashes of that at times last year. He was just way too inconsistent.

I think the problem is we often expect first year JUCO transfers to come in and perform like veterans when they're just not. They may be a little older, but they still have to adjust to the size, speed and talent at a much higher level just like any other first year player. In some ways, the JUCO guys are at a disadvantage because there's not really an AAU circuit for them in the summers.

Had a decent OOC last year, and if I recall a good showing in Austin, but kind of slumped as the year moved on.

I like his aggressiveness.
