The game is in Norman, but I hope the fellas do not underestimate the Golden Eagles. Always be weary of really experienced mid-major squads. They have 5 guys who average double figures, and a couple of these guys have blown up for 30+ points. Roundtree (a high major player) and Bell-Holter are good enough to give Fitz and Osby all they want in the paint.

Niles - Averages 14 per game
Morrison - Averages 19 per game
Holter - Averages 13 per game
Roundtree - Averages 12 per game
Craion - Averages 13 per game.

This SHOULD be a very good ORU team. Easily the best team they have had since Ken Tutt and Caleb Green were there.

PG: Roderick Pearson (6'2'' 195-Senior)
-Has played in 38 career games at ORU, making 34 starts. Averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds in Summit League play.

SG: Warren Niles (6'5'' 195-junior)
-Honorable mention all-Summit League (2011)...Summit League All-Newcomer team (2010)..CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Freshman All-American (2010). averaged 14.4 points and 3.9 rebounds

SF: Dominique Morrison (6'6'' 210-senior)
-Averaged 19.5 points and 5 rebounds per game. Capped a stellar junior campaign by being named to the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major All-American team. First-team All-Summit League (2011). Has played in 95 career games with 94 starts.

PF: Steven Roundtree (6'8'' 200-sophomore)
-Averaged 12.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a true freshman. Produced one of the top freshman seasons in ORU history, capping his rookie campaign by winning Summit League Newcomer of the Year honors … also named national Mid-Major Freshman of the Year by CollegeInsider.com. Started all 35 games as a true freshman.

C: Damen Bell-Holter (6'9'' 245-junior)
-Started all 35 games at center after coming off the bench every game as a freshman … earned honorable mention all-Summit League honors. Averaged 13.8 points and 8.6 rebounds on the season. Had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals against OU. 12 points, 17 rebounds against Missouri, 12 points, 10 rebounds at Texas Tech.

6th Man: Michael Craion (6'5'' 215-senior)
-Preseason first-team all-Summit League selection utilized a medical redshirt season after breaking bones in his right foot during preseason workouts...Named Summit League Newcomer of the Year after averaging 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in the upset win over Missouri.

This team could actually turn out to be better, IF they can avoid injuries and get enough shots for everyone. They have five players who all need their fair share of touches, someone is gonna have to take a backseat.

wary=to be cautious, to be on guard

"Weary" was not the proper word to use here.

I hate when abd makes these threads because he is right a lot of the time. It seems that over the last couple years he predicted quite a few of our out of conference losses. Still, I think abd is wrong this time.

At least we have a coach who was an assistant at ORU last year. I bet he knows that team pretty well, so there should be no surprises.

Ya I got laughed off the forum when I told people to watch out for Houston and UTEP. Lost to Houston in Alaska and got run out of the gym by UTEP.

We also lost to Chaminade. Sorry, but you were right more b/c OU was terrible, then b/c the teams you pimped were SO good.

I'd be shocked if ORU stayed within 10 of OU this year.
