They start four seniors, including a couple of RS-Senior transfers from Texas and Kentucky.... Their other forward was the SWAC freshman of the year, even though his numbers weren't very good at all.

They play Mizzou style basketball, and their coach is a Mike Anderson guy... They were 4th in the nation in steals last year, and they return all important players and add the transfers off their first winning season in 7 years.

Its the third game of the season, and the first game where actual athletes and talent will be involved.

PG: Junior Treasure (6'3'' 180-Senior)- Third Team All-SWAC ... averaged 14.6 ppg ... averaged 2.9 apg ... averaged 2.5 reb ... averaged 1.8 steals per game ... scored career-high 29 points at Southern (3-6-10) ... scored in double figures in 21 games ... had 27 points in season opener at UTEP (11-13-09) ... scored 26 points at New Mexico State (12-23-09) ... had career-high eight assists vs. Grambling (2-13-10).

SG: Harrison Smith (6'3'' 205-RS Senior)- Transfer from Texas... ranked as the No. 96 prospect nationally by Rivals.com following his senior season at Jones High School in Houston ... Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Class 4A All-State choice in his senior season ... named third-team All-Greater Houston by the Houston Chronicle as a senior ... MVP of District 21-4A ... averaged 30 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals per game.

SF: Kevin Galloway (6'7'' 215-RS Senior)- Transfer from Kentucky... College of Southern Idaho: 2007-08: Ranked fourth in the nation in assists (8.6) ... averaged 8.4 ppg … averaged 4.1 rpg … helped lead Golden Eagles to a 30-2 record.

PF: Travele Jones (6'8'' 205-Senior)- Third Team All-SWAC ... averaged 13.7 ppg ... grabbed 5.9 reb ... scored career-high 31 points at Colorado (11-18-09) ... scored in double figures in 22 games.

PF: Aaron Clayborn (6'6'' 215-Soph)- SWAC Freshman of the Year ... averaged 4.9 ppg ... pulled down 3.6 rpg ... scored career-high 18 points vs. Grambling (2-13-10) ... had career-high nine rebounds at Prairie View (2-6-10) ... scored in double figures in four games ... blocked 13 shots ... had 20 steals.

I wonder if Barry Honore' will be available to to play in that game? SWAC FOY vs Former SWAC FOY?

Actually OU recruited some of those guys. We fought hard for Galloway with UK. He was Patillo's teammate. However, their's a reason why they are ex-high major players. Galloway was horrible, Smith ended up getting pushed to the end of Texas's bench, and Treasure got his offer pulled from Marquette.

Big, might as well just list the rosters of each team we play this year and say Watch out for.....

My hope for this season is we're gonna having some barn-busting ballers and barn-burning exhibitions where we come into opponents house and lay smack downs. Just like the l8 gr8 John Wayne quipped to his mortal enemies while wearing an eyepatch and embracing a bout of rabies - "Come an' get it boys!"

A friends son plays for Texas Southern "Jason West"...and by the way...thats where TMG was working out when he left school. I have been hearing alot of trash talking!

I really wish he would stop doing this. It's the ABD jinx. We always lose to these teams. Last year it was UTEP and Houston.

I thought we were going to beat Texas Southern, but now I think we have no chance.

I was just giving ABD a hard time...actually i like when he posts the rosters, and whether he thinks we will win or lose has no effect on the outcome of the game...

Keep em comin Big...

This year I am only "watching out" for ORU and Texas Southern. Those are going to be tough games for a bad OU team.

How do you know we will be bad? Last year everyone thought we would be great and we weren't. What that proves is rosters on paper in July have nothing to do with how the team will play in the Winter. Let them play a few games first before you doom them to a 5 win season.

What would be the fun in that?

How do you know we will be bad?

How do you know they will be good? Both options seem valid.

Last year everyone thought we would be great and we weren't. What that proves is

Nothing.

Let them play a few games first before you doom them to a 5 win season.

Why? Under that logic, I should let them play a few games before I say they will win 25 games. However, we both know that if I thought they would be good you would not question what I said.

What would be the fun in that?

What's the fun in trying to see something that probably isnt there? I call it like I see, not how sunshine pumpers on the ouhoops.com forums want me to see it.

I know it wouldn't be fun for haters, but as fans of OU i think that should be the mind set going this next season

I don't think people should try to decide what is or is not the appropriate mindset for another person.

Really? Do you think that position is appropriate in all circumstances?

In all seriousness though, I was about to try to debunk your original post, then I got to thinking about it and was unable to do so and remain intellectually honest about it. Right now OU has a grand total of ONE player that we can feel pretty okay about knowing what he will do, Cade Davis, the rest is pure speculation.

If you come at the thebigabd, you best not miss.

I'm watching out for Kentucky, Kansas, and Texas in Austin. Just make sure to heap the praise on after the season.

This really is kind of goofy on abd's part. I'm with Edmond. You might as well say "Watch out for every team we play this year". BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!
