We are on the verge of a commitment bonanza

for every samhan there are 10,000 Orlando Allens

Exactly. It's really easy to say "Why didn't we recruit Samhan when he was in high school?" Answer, he just wasn't very good at that time. These guys practice hard for several years then use their experience and intelligence to make plays. That's nearly impossible for coaches to see 3 years before this happened.

Omar Samhan 2010 is night and day from Omar Samhan 2007...he could barely get up the floor back then. It just demonstrates (along with UNI and Cornell) that success in March is dependent on experience. Now, there are always exceptions, but the rule holds true.

Well said, campbest!

The trick is to bring in solid players with good character who are willing to work hard and do the right things, until they gain enough experience to compete at a high level. Coach Capel has not had the good fortune of doing that on a consistent basis yet.

1. none of those Cartwright boys look alike

2. not a one of them looks like their father

3. the oldest, Adam (Pernell Roberts), looks as old if not older than his dad Ben (Lorne Greene)

4. if they were so rich why didn't they have more than one outfit? they always wore the same clothes.

They didn't have the time to change clothes. They had to bury a different girlfriend every episode...

Like Ryan Wright... Not saying you're wrong, but it's not always a fool proof approach.

Cartwright's were hard on women, they would usually die or leave their respective Cartwright brother every episode.

coolm- They all look different because they all had different mothers

Yeah.....I used to watch Bonanza a lot.......

Back to the hoop talk!
