That is awesome. Not that I want them to come down on Buddy but I love the effort to fire up the student section.

I love this kind of stuff!

WVU students and fans are rabid supporters of their football and basketball teams. They're equal to the "Cameron Crazies" in a lot of ways, only they are more prone to actually be crazy and start throwing cups of beer or anything else they can lay their hands on.

Crazy antics aside, OU students could learn from the way WVU students and fans support their basketball team.

Re: Keep it Classy WVU!!

Whats the problem here?

Re: Keep it Classy WVU!!

Come on, guys. It's students. We've done our fair share of boo-ing players everytime they touch the ball. Everyone does, It's college basketball lol. I'm sure it will effect more on this board than it will bother Buddy. :woot

Re: Keep it Classy WVU!!

this is part of what makes college basketball great. Buddy is a big boy. He can take it. The players understand this is jus the road and nothing personal. It is an honor to be the guy that gets hazed the most because it means you are good.

Re: Keep it Classy WVU!!

Am I te only one that is noticing it says "Tashawn Taylor" and not "Tashawn Thomas"?

Re: Keep it Classy WVU!!

I was amused more than anything. Personally, I wouldn't partake in calling another player a bum, but I have booed other players. I was just trying to lighten the mood. Geez!!!

And I cannot believe I missed the other thread. Please delete or merge this one if needed.

I seem to recall they booed Buddy last year, too. I guess they have something against the Bahamas?

Usually student focus on dirty players or a player who has academic struggles or off campus/behavior issues so there is some issue they can pick on. That gets the best traction. It says something about the character of our players that the best they can do is pick on our highest scoring threat and boo him for no good reason.

I don't have a problem with it, per se, but I think it's a little bush league. I mean, if they were "tradition cheers", would you really have to describe what they were in the paper before every game?

But that's just me.

To quote the great Yankee Reggie Jackson; "Fans don't boo nobodys"
