The first version of that thread had a subject line that read as a far more definitive pronouncement: Capel to Coach at OU Next Year or something like that. I clicked on the thread thinking there'd be an official announcement, but it was nothing of the kind. James had just spoken to some (unnamed) sources, who assured him Capel's job was secure.

But it was clear from the thread that those sources were not at the level of Joe C. himself, so I suggested that the title of the thread was misleading, that the post was far more personal opinion (if a reasonably informed one) than fact-based confirmation (I had no other problem with the post).

He got his back up (as he is wont to do), but enough people agreed with me, I guess, that he did a restart on the thread.

I'm not shocked. I'm sure his post was also tough to read with a few typos and run on sentences.
