Observation: During the 2015-16 Final-4 season the top 8 players played ninety-two percent (92%) of all MINUTES played. The 8 players were:

1309 (35.4 mpg) ... Buddy Hield
1234 (33.4 mph) ... Isaiah Cousins
1215 (32.8 mpg) ... Ryan Spangler
1102 (29.8 mpg) ... Jordan Woodard
_815 (22.0 mpg) ... Khadeem Lattin

_442 (12.3 mpg) ... Dante Buford
_437 (11.8 ppg) ... Dinjiyl Walker
_330 (9.4 mpg) ... Christian James

The above 8 players played 6,884 minutes out of the season total of 7,475 minutes. This means that everybody else on the roster COMBINED to average 16 minutes per game. This included Akolda Manyang, Rashard Odomes and Jamuni McNeace.

In the 2016-17 season, the top 8 players got 84% of the total minutes, but this is distorted since Jordan Woodard missed one-third of the season. Without Jordan’s season-ending injury, the top 8 players would have played approximately 90% of the total minutes.

The point is this: really good college teams often get solid production from a rotation of their top 8 players.

So the questions are these: (1) who will be the top 8 players for OU next season; and (2) will these 8 players be productive enough for OU to be a good winning team?
