I almost hope we don't climb much higher in the polls. The higher you're ranked, the bigger the target on your back. I also want to see our kids stay hungry. I want them to keep a chip on their shoulder because they're not getting the respect they deserve. I'm also of the opinion that where you're ranked in the national polls doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot, except that it helps with seeding in the post season. And, even that is suspect.
But, that's just me. There is also a part of me that wants this team to be recognized for their hard work and for what they have already accomplished this season. No question about it, they deserve that and more.
As for Jackson_supersooner's question, I think we'll be ranked somewhere around 17 or 18 next week, providing we take care of business at TCU of course. The impressive win over #15 ranked WVU should move OU up two to three spots in the next poll.
