Sitting at the comminator table as if she might be calling the game. She will be doing the TV announcing.

I can't think of a better way to have Whitney as part of the show … other than grabbing a uniform … :-)
If she's half as good of an announcer as she was a player, we've got a winner!

That would be cool! I would MUCH rather listen to her than Colton.

Really? I like Colton's commentary. He's knows the team and what is expected from each play and knows basketball.

Now, I understand wanting to hear Whitney to see how she does. Plus, everyone loves Whitney so she can be just okay and many people might want to hear her.

So, is she doing the commentary on tv? I would have liked to hear her too.

Nice 1st half; great energy. Gabbi dropping 3s and bench (LaNeisha 7 points) played well. Always good to lead by 13 at the break!

You never learn anything from Colton. Whitney actually knows the players of both teams, she knows basketball, and her communication skills are in a different universe from Colton.

Colton's communication skills have greatly improved from the 1st year he did it. I like him and I learn stuff from what he says....

I listened to the radio broadcast today. One of the interesting things that Colton talked about is how our backside defense is normally in the lane but because of Iowa State's 3pt shooting, the backside defense needs to be outside of the lane to close out quicker. Because of that, they were expecting a few easy layups when the help defense couldn't get there in time.

I'd say that was good information.

Let's be real...Colton got that job for one reason and one reason only. I would 10 times rather listen to Lyndsey Cloman and she is pretty hard to listen to at times.

That's kind of the same reason that he has inside information about what Sherri might be thinking, as well as why he spent time practicing with the girls and knows their tendencies, with input from the unnamed source.

Yes he did. And I got the job I have because of who I knew. Doesn't mean I don't have to perform and grow in the position.

If you resent him for his connections, that's fine. If you think he's a poor commentator, that's fine too. But many here disagree with your assessment. There is no reason to be derogatory towards him because you don't agree with the fact that being the coach's son helped him get his foot in the door.

Personally I'm surprised at the number of posters who would rather waste their communication and coaching talents posting here instead of being the next announcer for a D1 team or the next Geno.
