Cloudcroft. One of the prettiest places in New Mexico.

Is that "Half Tressel" still beside the road as you drive down toward Alamogordo?

Still there, as far as I know. Last time I was there was in 2012. I remember stopping to take a picture of it once, when I still lived in New Mexico, and there was a car-load of Tech fans from Lubbock who also stopped and were in awe of the scenery. I think they were amazed that U.S. 82, which also goes right through the TT campus, passed by such great scenery.

It's not nearly as scenic east of Artesia, but I liked the drive west that time we did it coming from Carlsbad with my dad. I wonder if Landry's folks ever had a place there that he and Whitney might have visited as a young married couple (or maybe Ruidoso).

The Three Rivers Petroglyphs are also nearby. Very laid back place, but one of my favorite memories of New Mexico.

My mom tells a hilarious story about the time she and my dad visited there many years ago.

Neither is vision or reading skill apparently, at least for me. My bad, I skipped right over that "or".

Artesia is a charming small town. The Hotel Artesia has been restored by some of that oil money earned in the area, and there's what I find to be a surprising number of public sculptures in the downtown for a place of its size.

I believe since I have become so addicted to the internet that my reading and writing skills have gone down hill......seems to affect me on the internet much more than other places. Think maybe it is a speed thing and not paying as much attention as I should. Have a feeling it affects most of us to some degree.

So now, after NMSooner and Sweetest Girl have posted, I am feeling a desire for a road trip to New Mexico. Won't happen anytime soon but something fun to think about.

If it's possible to post a photo on this site, I could definitely show you some scenes from out there that could make you want to leave for New Mexico as soon as possible.

They don't call it "The Land of Enchantment" for nothing, in my opinion. New Mexico mornings are my absolute favorites.

Let's be real...Colton got that job for one reason and one reason only. I would 10 times rather listen to Lyndsey Cloman and she is pretty hard to listen to at times.

Lyndsey has done an excellent job calling the game as well as Whitney and Colton. You say Colton had the upper hand; who says the same couldn't have happened with Whitney? Unfortunately in the professionally world; it's all in who you know.

Someone needs o tell Whit that back to back to back is not four offensive rebounds.
