Who are your top 5 choices for the job?

you can say it til the cows come home and it won't make it true.

Who cares what we have or haven't done in the past - Texas has become a recruiting hotbed and if we are going to survive amidst a bevy of Texas schools then we must be able to recruit there.

The old "athletes play football first, basketball second" just isn't true in Texas anymore. With that being the case there's just too many players there to overlook.

...and JUCOS just aren't what they once were.

Are there as many great juco players, no, but there are still plenty of them out there.

And Kelvin coached against those mighty Texas schools for the majority of his time at OU and never recruited the state heavily.

only at the last few years of Kelvin's tenure was it like it is now vis a vis Texas talent...and it's not like Kelvin was some fabulous recruiter.

Plus, he darn well wanted Texas kids.

As for JUCOS ... you just don't find the gems there anymore like we've seen in the past. Not that often.

All jucos and all key contributors.
