It is pretty close and you could probably make arguments either way. Texas appears to be the best team with KU a close second. A&M has a one game lead on Missouri for 3rd. Nebraska, KSU and Baylor are all 6-6. CU is 5-7. OSU, Tech and OU are all tied for 9th (or 11th if you want to be a pessimist). ISU is a pitiful 1-11.

I think I would say the South but the North will probably get more teams in the Tournament. Nebraska will probably make it now. KSU has that big win over KU and might make it. I don't think Baylor will get in.

Nebbish has some work to do...they need a split at home against Mizzou/KSU.

I think they might win their last 4. They are a solid team and the two toughest games are at home. ISU is the easiest game in the conference (although it is never truly easy to win in Ames). I will predict 3-1 down the stretch and a first round Big XII win. That puts them at 22-9 and should get them to the dance. They gave KU a game both times and don't have any really bad losses. They did lose to Vandy and Davidson out of conference.

Nebraska only lost by 3 at KU, 1 at Tech and 4 at Baylor (the Davidson loss was by 3). When you consider they only have 8 losses they are not more than a few bounces away from being a ranked team. Obviously you can take the close wins and say they are only a few bounces away from not being considered but they have done a good job this year.

Nebraska's signature wins (above 100 rpi) - RPI

Hofstra - 88
USC - 86 (by only 2)
Colorado - 93
A&M - 27
Ok State - 59
Texas - 7

6 wins over 100 or better? That's just not that impressive to a tourney committee. I know they beat Texas and Texas A&M, I still think Nebs would need a strong Big 12 tourney.

If they finished the way Denver stated, most likely they will be in.

If they win 22 and don't get in it is a crime. It is hard to win 20+. Capel has only done it twice in 5 years.
