Smart is 10x the defender as Buddy is.

He is also a better offensive player to.

Hield is your best freshman by far. The other 2 are average.

I just think it's funny to read all the jealous comments on this board. If you had Smart on your team - do you really think you'd hear all these comments about him here?

Pretty sure Buddy had Smart in lockdown in Norman if my memory serves me correct. Yes Smart got into fould trouble, but that happens when you are constantly reach/flopping because you are out of position..

Smart is more of a gambler defensively than Buddy is, which pushes his steal numbers way up. But I would argue that his overall team defense is not ahead of Buddy's.

Not to mention the announcers for the ISU/OSU kept calling out Smart's laziness to get back which allowed ISU a lot of quick transistion buckets.

I'm not sure I wouldn't just as soon have Angel or Jackson. I think both of them are very solid PG. Not trying to hate on Smart.

The difference being, of course, that unlike Smart, Hield isn't being heralded by anyone -- OU fans, the media, anyone -- as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Smart's a better shooter than I am, too, but I'm not being touted for the Wooden award.

And if by "intangibles," you mean flopping ten times a game, you're right: It's Smart in a landslide.

I didn't say I wouldn't take Smart on my team. I said he's a good college player, but I wouldn't put him in the great category. I'm saying he's over-rated which says more about the media's strange love affair with him than it does about him as a player. It'll also be fun to watch this boards reaction when OU gets bounced in their first NCAA tourny game while OSU makes a run.

It will also be fun when next year after OU loses Osby, Grooms, Pledger, & Fitzgerald...OU misses the tourny again while OSU is back in it.

This all the while OU fans are screaming Kruger is a savior and OU basketball is back.

Mocking Smart's game is fine but he will be a NBA player and no one on OU's roster will.

OU is a much more experienced and upperclassmen led team which gives them a good consistency and guys that are playing their last days of competitive basketball.

OSU has a bunch of young guys who are inexperienced and have days ahead of them but right now they are inconsistent and still developing as players and as a team.

I think Travis Ford is just as good of a coach as Kruger. But Ford is a much better recruiter.

That will pay dividends in the long run. Kruger will not be with OU in 5 years.

Mbaye is a headcase waiting to happen...without Osby there he will not perform with confidence or be able to play off of Osby like he has. The best post defenders will now guard Mbaye.

NIT team next year for OU. I never underestimated OU this year - I pegged them as a 9 seed from the get go. the ORU, UTA, and SFA games scared me...but their seniors have been the difference. I'm aware of that - but he was pinning it on me. I'm sorry but there are weird and sick people everywhere. Getting a degree from OSU or anywhere from that matter will not cure lack of common sense, human decency, or any kind of gross or sickening behavior.
