It isn't as clear this year as it was the last couple of years.

Umm I would put Kornet in as well she'd be my vote.

Darn, I can't believe I left her off. I hope others who want to vote for her will type her name in as you did. Sorry, about that.

I picked Little, I'm not really sure what she will bring to the team, but I sure long rang shooting will be one. Not sure if she can get to the rim consistently but she has had time to work on her game and learn the system. Sharane could be but her game has not really developed much, her freshman year she came on strong and got to the line a lot later in the season. I remember espn calling her a star in the game @ baylor, I thought she could be like Angle Mccoughtry. There are a few unknowns going in to next season and scoring on a consist basis is one of them.

Next year will be tough to pick because I don't think at this point we have any one who will be a consistent high point average during the season, however we will have five kids that have the potential: Sharane, Nicole, Maddie, Peyton, and Gabbi. Just my opinion. I have whittled it down to Sharane and Peyton. I will take Sharane.

You can't get much from this A&M highlight video it's only 54 sec, but you can see Little drive to the hoop twice and try and draw contact, and also shoot a 3 off a kick out.

Mac, do you have any concern that she may be rusty from sitting out a year? I know that is why some said Kaylon didn't play as well as expected.

No because she wasn't hurt, I also like that thought she didn't score a bunch at A&M she still got a lot of minutes, so her defensive must have been pretty good as a freshman. She also got up during every time out and met the team near the court so she was really vocal and involved, not sure if the team captains have been named but I could see her being one of them.

A source once told me that Blair only put little in For her
3pt Shooting and that was about it. She felt she could do more and didn't fit in with his defensive System and that's why she decided to leave.

Lets not forget That was the big class A&M signed after winning the
National Championship. Most likely had commits Commit in the heat
Of the moment instead of really sitting back looking at how they fit
Into a system, style, etc.

Thanks, that's good to know, I guess she would get alot of minutes seems likes she was the best 3pt shooter they had.

Well it was only the Red/White scrimmage last October, but Peyton made a believer out of me. She has a nice all around game, doesn't just live by the 3. She looks like a good one to me, glad she's going to be around for a while.

I heard the same thing about her three-point shooting, but I'm not sure that they had the system from which to let her operate.

At this point, I see this as a very different type of season for Sherri. She can let the scoring come from a Spring that gives water rather than trying to force the issue by building channels in the desert.

I don't want this to sound all insider like, but ...
a source that saw a bunch of OU's fall camp practices and said OU
might be in trouble because the best player was Peyton Little.
I asked better than Vegas? Source said Little's was more consistent from 3 and
better on D.

Peyton Little is for real. I feel she will outshine Sharane and the others. Someone has to come off of the bench, and my guess would be Kornet. I guess it will be a 4-guard lineup again.

We were 1-6 in the last seven games that Vegas played.

syb,
I'm not going to pretend that I have all these insider connections to the women's program.
I don't.
But the source that told me that is very connected to Texas HS women's hoops, I've learned to give the source some weight.

I have zero insider sources. I have observation.

Observation #1: when we were tied at the end of key games, we had nobody step up to make a shot. We threw the ball away. In one game, two eighty percent free throw shooters missed five straight free throws. Nobody stepped up to make the shot that would have prevented overtime.

Observation #2: I don't care if you score fifty in junk time. The scorer that I want on the floor is the one who shows up with the score tied and a minute left.

We had none.

I think we are likely to find at least one this year.
