Aaliyah Wilson shocks every one and commits to University Of Arkansas!

@PatJenkins4: 2016 4-Star Guard Aaliyah Wilson of Muskogee(OK) has signed a NLOI to play for #Arkansas and Coach Jimmy Dykes#BeArkansas!!!!

Another Oklahoma Great headed out of state. When will Sherri have enough?

Are you even certain that at the end of the recruiting cycle that she had an offer remaining to OU? Too many assumptions.

I have a feeling Dykes is going to do a good job.

I'm 100% sure she dropped OU from her list a long time ago.......

Are you sure that she dropped OU, or did OU drop her? We had one scholarship until after Kornet left. Did we hold it hoping for a Cox?

Coale does not get many girls from NE Oklahoma. If you count Rose Hammond from Depew, which is really north central Oklahoma, Dungee is the only othefr one I can remember from NE OK. I do not think she has got any girl from the Tulsa area in 20 years besides Dungee. What is the problem? That is the second largest metropolitan area in Oklahoma.

No need for me to elaborate what I know of something for certain.

I ask myself the same question. I was very suprised when T'ona and LaNesia signed as well.

Where was Howe from?

Dykes is hitting the extended Tulsa area hard - as he should. I really like Wilson's game - I think it will translate well at the next level like Carters' has for us.

I do too, she's a very good player.

I hope this doesn't start a trend. I have a feeling He's about to cross into the Sooner state for more recruiting.

How much of a bad thing would that be? It's not like prospects from the state of Oklahoma are setting the college world on fire...

It's not like Wilson was looking at Oklahoma state, maybe she wanted to get away from home...

Oklahoma State was in her top at one point. But that's not the point.
What matters is how can coach coale be all about "recruiting" when she keeps letting the best players leave the state? I have always wondered about this.
To many great Oklahoma players are leaving the state and having impacts on other college teams. Not just mediocre teams either.

Why is it that some of these kids have no desire to come to OU? Or some aren't even on OU's radar. Oklahoma is full of talent, it just doesn't make sense that we only sign a few Oklahoma players?

I really like the ones we have and that are committed but I feel as if it can be so much more. We can't let players like Aaliyah Wilson leave the state.

I will never forget between 2008 and 2010 more than 20+ athletes in Oklahoma signed to other major D1 programs.

How many did we sign from the state?

Who did you really want that we didn't get? In retrospect, I would have loved to have had Gant. But, there was a problem, or we thought there was. We have had some leave, but not one that we couldn't live without.

What do you think that Californians might be thinking about letting Paris and Robinson escape to OU? How about what Canadians thought about Dales? Maybe Minnesota didn't appreciate our raiding, or Illinois.

We really haven't had a Blake Griffin, Alvan Adams, or Wayman Tisdale like woman since Sherri arrived that was born or reared in Oklahoma. We've lost a lot of men to KU.

A lot of us Sherri supporters have reservations about Sherri's recruiting. It has improved marginally lately which I attribute to Coach DeCosta. More than once when an outstanding player leaves the state, they have said that they wanted to leave Oklahoma.

I understand where you are coming from about the California recruiting hot spot we had. But, all I'm saying is that Oklahoma has some of the most overlooked talent, and it's not the other schools that are over looking them it's mainly OU!

No doubt in my mind if we would of atleast signed 2 or more in state players back in 2008-12, Sherri would atleast had 1 National title by now. Think about it. You had the Paris twins era which brought us only 1 final 4. Drob and company got us another after but we cannot seem to get over the hump!

Let's just take a took to see what players we missed out on during this time who I think could of had an impact on our success.
2007

Eurniesia Williams-Sapulpa HS: Signed with Texas
Danielle Gant- Putnam city West: Signed with Texas A&M
Sade Morris- Norman HS: signed with Kansas

2008
Would loved to have the duo of The bigs in the Tulsa area. Brewer and McGee

Alyssia Brewer-Sapulpa HS: McDonald's all American Signed with Tennessee transferred to UCLA.

Tia McGee -Jenks: top 25 recruit nationally coming out of HS. Signed with Georgetown

Angel Goodrich-Sequoyah Talequah: (One of my All time Oklahoma favorites) Signed with Kansas

Liz Lay-Southeast HS: (OU was the favorite at one point and time then all of a sudden disappeared off her list) signed with Washington, later transferred to SWOSU cause of nagging knee injuries.

2009

Kevi Luper-Adair-Signed with ORU, one of the leading scorers in NCAA history! And #1 all time scorer at ORU! The girl could flat out play! No questions asked!
Another one of my all time Oklahoma greats!

Toni Young-Del city HS: Signed with Oklahoma State. Would of complemented Ny Stevenson in a variety of ways.

Taleya Mayberry: Tulsa Washington: signed with Tulsa. 2nd all time leading scorer in Tulsa history. Was very suprised when she was not a sooner. I think she would of complemented DROB very well.

Ashely Bruner-Norman HS(right in sherri's own backyard!) signs with South Carolina! And did an amazing job helping Dawn Staley jump start that program!

2010
Richa Jackson-Midwest city HS, McDonalds all American, top 10 nationally, signed with DUKE

That's all I could think of right now during that time era. Take a look at the names and what they brought to their respective programs. Your telling me none of these young ladies would of contributed At OU for a national championship?

2012:
Courtney Walker-Edmond Santa Fe- now currently at Texas A&M,2time Oklahoma Gatorade player of the year, SEC 1st team, AP All American, Wooden Watchlist, and the list goes on.

2013
Jessica Washington:Jenks-Signed with North Carolina, now at KU. Prolific scorer, McDonald's all American, USA u17 gold medalist.

2014
Toree Tompson -Broken Arrow- Signed with Ole Miss, now at TCU. Ok Gatorade player of the year.

2016 Aaliyah Wilson-Muskogee- signs with Arkansas, top 25 nationally, Future McDonald's all American maybe.

The list goes on......

I have a good feeling about Llanus staying committed so that's a plus, but this is getting ridiculous.
Just think if we had atleast 2 of each class where would we stand.
