Is better than he is playing right now, he's definitely going through a sophomore slump. That said, Krueger needs to try to bring in a better PG to either push him to succeed or push him to the second team. Walker seems more like an undersized SG without a good shot than a PG.

Woodard is done imo.. tonight was an epic breakdown.. I've never seen anything like that..

This won't be the brightest idea, but Cousins should take over the PG position going forward. Woodard is incapable of not only taking care of the ball, he can't hit the broad side of a barn offensively. Hell, he makes Gottdweib look like Skeeter Henry which is saying something. What a sophomore meltdown of epic proportions were all witnessing. :facepalm

I feel for the kid hopefully he can get his confidence back.

Lon tried the Cousins at PG experiment once before and it did not go well. Granted Cousins was a Freshman, but I still don't think that's the answer, he's not a great ball handler and his decision making at the PG position is poor.

Cousins didn't look much better with the ball tonight.

Fact is, we don't have what I'd call "good ball handling" guards. We just don't. Makes losing out on Shake hurt that much more.

They all ran from the inbounder.. they were all scared... cousins did suck at pg freshman year... but look at Woodard now....

Woodard didn't play well, but geez, he only had two turnovers. Cousins had 5. Buddy, Walker, and Spangler all had 3.

There's no way he had only 2 to's.. i can think of two just off him not even in the press

Right. Woodard needs to play. He's easily one of the best 5 and we need him to play well to be our best. He's slumping but he won't get better if he sits and we don't have anyone better to replace him.

Walker and Booker are bench players, role players who are too limited to be starters. There's a role for those 2, but it's not playing 30 minutes per night. They need to be playing 8-10.

He has been terrible the last two games. Don't know what is going on with him but he is struggling handling the ball let alone making a shot. He hasn't played defense either year and it is time to get after it. Appears to be lacking toughness at this time.

The whole team seems to lost its toughness actually. Hopefully something will change in a hurry.

I would recruit a juco point guard this spring. Watching Booker play you have to assume he will be transfering when the season is over.

I seriously question the basketball IQ of those calling for Woodard to be benched, we do not have a better option at PG, we don't even have a option that is close to JW. We need JW to play well and regain some confidence.

I don't know what is going on with Booker, but he is a far cry from the player we saw last year, and I don't think its injury related.

Remember last year how Woodard would drive to the basket and get to the free throw line all the time? I can't remember the last time he has done that this year. He is very passive this year and so is Spangler.

I think the biggest difference is the change in officiating (the beginning of last season breathing on a offensive player going to the basket was a foul),as the season went along last year and the refs started to normalize, his driving dipped and it has been largely nonexistent this season.

Take it up with the guys that score the game.

Well when he picked up his dribble under his own basket like a high schooler, he gave up a tie up.. that's a half turnover.. horrible game.

I've never been as high on woodard as some but with how talented this starting five is, he doesn't need to score a lot. just take high percentage shots and distribute.

7 ppg, 4+ assists, 4 rpg isn't terrible as long as you limit turnovers (which he does for the most part) and shots.

With Buddy, Cousins, Spangs, and TT we don't really need woodard to score. Just get to the foul line and distribute

Biggest difference is we play two true posts, didn't do that last year with Clark.
