Got to hand it to Jordan, he had a couple turnovers but shot really well in the first half, helped us get our flow. People, including myself, have knocked him from time to time but on the big stage he didn't cower. Here's to Jordan improving in the next two years and REALLY showing his true potential.

He played good in the 1st half, but his second half wasn't very good. And his game stats as a whole weren't very good. I was, however, pleased he did not drive into the trees and turn the ball over tonight.

He has a lot of work to do this offseason IMO. The comparisons to Q White were a bit early, it appears. Woodard has to improve on just hitting the open jumpers, and he needs to improve on his scoring around the hoop. Gotta learn a floater, and a move like Trice did tonight, where we spun away and faded away to get some space. Little guys have to be crafty. But it's tough to have a good offense when you pg shoots it as poorly as Woodard did this year.

I feel like if he could develop a step-in shot in the paint he could really transcend to the next level. I agree, his shooting has to improve on a consistent basis.

He shot the ball really well in the tourney. Was a good three point threat also. But, that pass to Verne in crunch time was as a killer. Just something that cant happen.

I think we're going to see marked improvement this off season from Woodard, Booker, and Walker.

He needs to be comfortable with his shot where he isn't as apt to defer to others to eventually take shots especially when those taking shots are having an off night.

Woodard took double-digit shots in five games this season: @OSU, @ISU, @KSU, ISU in the tournament, and tonight.

Teams have realized that making Woodard shoot is a good way to win. Hopefully he can work on his shot and at least get his 3-point shooting back to where it was last season.

Woodard had a rough start to the year, but came on strong. As the year progressed. He was our go to guy for FTs all year. Came up huge time after time in that respect. His shooting can improve, but he was certainly not the reason we lost tonight. He played a good game.

Next year he will be a Junior. White was not a shooter when arrived on campus. If you want to do a Q comparison then it starts next year...

I'm not super optimistic that we will see much Walker next season. Especially if Buddy comes back.

I think Walker will a much better SR and find a niche off the bench next season. Early on in season, he was being aggressive , attacking the paint of the dribble, and using his physicality to finish in the paint. I think teams adjusted and he had to start settling for jumpers. He had trouble getting those to fall and went into a prolonged slump. He was moved off the ball to the wing, continued to struggle shooting and fell out of favor. I think if he can get his jumpers to fall and can get back to being aggressive driving the ball, he can be an asset. I might be wrong but a lot of jucos improve a great deal from the JR to SR seasons. If Hield leaves, we will really need him to step up.

White was certainly a good shooter when he stepped on OU's campus. He shot 41% from three his first year (JR), and 46% from three his SR year.

But it wasn't just the shooting. It was the build, style of play, poise, all of that. I know and get that we only saw Q as an upperclassmen, and we haven't seen those two years from Woodard yet. I hope he makes that jump this offseason.

Would love to know how Q shot it his first two years in college, but I've been unable to find those stats.

Also, did anybody else know Q is coaching at Tulane? I don't recall hearing about that before. Good for him.

Jordan should continue to improve. As he matures and gets more assertive his talent should show in his game.

I'm not sure there will be a role for Walker and Booker on next years team. It wouldn't be a surprise for one or both of them to leave the program. Of course if Buddy leaves then there will be playing time available for them and the recruits.
Walker did very little against any decent team. Frank is a wild card. He occasionally does some good but his decision making is horrible.

Jordan needs a little tear-drop ... a little floater. badly.
