1988 done right

I was a student in 1987/1988. As most know OU played for the national championship in both football and basketball. Could history repeat itself? If so, I hope the results are different.

I went to the Orange Bowl that year. I remember walking out of there telling the Miami fans that we would be in the championship game in bball as well. Hard to believe that both championship games were essentially road games.

I was at the Final Four. Never before or since has one game hurt like that one did. That's football,basketball or any other OU sport. I was depressed for a week. There is no way we should have lost that game. I remember thinking at halftime that we are going to blow them away in the second half. Twenty minutes from a National Title. To this day I have not watched a replay of that game nor will I ever watch it.
