1st round potential upsets??

Lol at some of the posters over on Orangepower.com

"Great draw - finally! We're overdue vs the Zags and Smart will remember his missed free throws last year. Revenge time! Ford gets his second NCAA tourney win in six years"

"Why do I have to ask this every year. But why are the play in games not all for 16 seeds. Does this not make since to everyone else?"

"We will be playing zone with 6'9" and 7'0" on their frontline. Good region but really tough draw the first two games. Thanks Castiglione." <---Hahahaha!

Digger has never been complementary of OU. That said, with the way we play defense, we could lose another 1st round game. NDSU is a good team that will play hard. If we don't step up our play, we will lose.

VCU is a good team, I'm not seeing that upset either.

Think Harvard didn't get the best match up with Cincy, gonna get down and dirty and I know they faced UConn this year but playing basketbrawl probably hurts them as opposed to a more finesse team say like us.

St Joe's is a really good team and both U Mass and St Louis are probably going to have trouble with I think Tennessee and NC St.

What you guys think about Tulsa/UCLA ?

I really think ucla makes the sweet 16 and potentially could make the elite 8, so I don't like tulsa there. I would say Harvard beating cincy and Dayton over Ohio state for my upset picks.

What does this mean? Step up our play based on what standard?

If we play like we did against TCU, we'll win.

If we play like we did against WVU, texas, Kansas, KSU and oswho, we'll win.

Heck, we beat NDSU if we play like we did in the second half against BU. So are 260 minutes of solid to great play negated by 20 poor minutes against Baylor?

It's the tourney -- anything can happen. We might lose. But the confidence of some of our fans is so easily shaken. I really don't get it.

Exactly the only game since the start of February where we played horrible defense pretty much all game was WVU, and we had travel issues in that game. Not saying we have no chance to lose in the first game, but I really like our chances to make a run to the Sweet 16 this year.

Also last time we had a week off we took care of KSU rather easily

Upsets I'm thinking about are Duke vs Mercer but that's probably more my hatred for Duke. UMass will go down to Tenn or Iowa really. NC State/Xavier winner will beat St. Louis.

I wanna pick Providence over UNC, but UNC is so damn hard to predict this year. I really like ISU's draw regardless. They could make a Final 4 run.

That is true, but we knew we were playing KSU and had a full week to prepare for them. The OU team charter will leave for Spokane on Tuesday.

NDSU last played on March 11. They have also had some time off.

In any event, OU should win this game.

If UNC can get past Providence they will be playing bumper ball on the glass against ISU. ISU has been shooting lights out recently but 1 so so shooting night and they will have major problems.

It means if we play like our last game, we will lose.

No we won't. If we play like we did against Tech or La Tech we'll lose. The rest of the games we've played all year would be enough.

Also, our tournament history is loaded with us losing to lower seeds and in the first round.

You can say the same about us.

Yes.

Milwaukee beats Villanova. Nova is over-the-top overrated and if they were a 1 seed, they would have been the 1st 1 seed to lose to a 16
